Just a tiny fill. Falling in love with this fandom and trying to kick a few years worth of writers block don't mind me. :)
Will isn’t fond of the rain, and it’s not even that he particularly minds getting wet. It the echoes of being seventeen again, soaked to the bone, cowering with his twin under a too small raincoat in a filthy alley way and wondering, if it’s too late to change his mind and go back.
He wants to go back (He doesn’t. He just doesn’t know what happens now and that scares him), and he kind of hates Clint for wanting to leave in the first place. (He’s just as sick of being beaten black and blue, but at least he knows that, can count down the seconds till Barney stumbles in again drunk, and quick with his fists just like dad.)
He’s soaked now, and he feels small again.
It wasn’t raining in Croatia, it was hot and dry and as the sweat stung his eyes, he found himself wishing for rain for the first time in a long time.
The rain came three days later, and washed the blood from where they found Julia’s body.
Except not because it wasn’t real. (It still felt real).
Will isn’t found of the rain.
And Ethan? Ethan loves it standing in the thick of it, catching raindrops in his mouth like a little kid, and grinning up at the sky like a loon.
He’s storms, and recklessness, and danger, and everything Will isn’t fond of, but somehow he’s fallen in love with the man anyway.
A/N:not quite what you were looking for but at least it's something, eh?
