god damnit! im not a little kid anymore! stop treating me like one. i really hate it when ppl are talking to an "adult" (in this case my dad), and they "tone down their language" on purpose. so my dad and someone we shall call "quasie" were talking at the kitchen table. i'm in the family room (1 room away), doing homework, listening to music, watching the fire intermitantly. sure, im not really paying attention to what they're saying, but somethings really just stand out. quasie said "...screwed up. now i have better words, but your sonis in the other room." i just shook my head. does he really think that ive heard a fucking swear? whoops, i just used one, oh no, CALL THE COPS! everyone panic, let there be chaos!great beard of zeus*, ppl, there r better things to worry about than if another "adult" hears u swear. get over it. if ur going to "tone down ur language" in the presence of someone, u have no right to ever use the extended english vocabulary, and u must surrender ur balls to satan. no seriously, im 18 yrs old, i swear (quite frequently), and the ONLY reason i try NOT to swear in front of my dad is because he gets PISSED of at me for it (even though he swears, pretty damn loud too, all the time). maybe i should just show him that i dont give a damn if ppl swear around me, ya know? just to piss him oof, then maybe hell stop caring, or trying.
he keeps telling me that swearing is bad, yet i always hear him swear. as many of u might know, i really hate double standards. this, obviously, is one hell of a double standard.
if ur going to swear, for god's sake, just do it. if someone's offended, they can fuck off. it is impossible to go through life without ever being offended. i hope i offended someone that reads this.
i dont know. maybe im depressed.
