I'm leaving the country in a few days and I'm writing fluff what is this.

I. Puck

One of the most surprising friendships Kurt had was with Puck. After Puck had stopped throwing people into dumpsters, Kurt had warmed up to him and they often bonded while Finn desperately and fruitlessly attempted to beat Puck in whatever video game they were playing that day.

So Kurt wasn’t surprised when Puck interrupted Warbler practice on Wednesday. Slightly irritated, yes, but not surprised.

“‘Sup dudes?” Puck nodded to the Warblers. “Mind if I steal my boy?”

“Puck, practice isn’t over yet.” The countertenor crossed his arms.

“Too bad, cause you promised you’d help me at the mall, and a promise is a promise.”

Kurt sighed, looking over to Wes and Dave. “You guys mind?”

“N-No, go right ahead,” Wes said. He was caught off guard by the newcomer, and Kurt knew why. Puck wasn’t exactly the type of male he was used to seeing on a day to day basis at Dalton.

“Wait, just who are you?” Blaine asked, confused.

Puck smirked, throwing an arm over Kurt’s shoulders. “I’m the boyfriend.”

“Puck.” Kurt glared at him.

“Oh,” Blaine said. “Oh! Oh.” His expression changed. “Sorry. You guys go have fun on your…date… at the mall.”

“Will do, Frodo,” Puck winked, leading Kurt out of the room. As soon as the door closed behind him, Kurt ducked out from under the bigger boy’s arm.

“What was that about?”

“What? A little harmless fun never hurt anyone,” Puck winked. “Now c’mon. I gotta get to the game store before they sell outta Call Of Duty.”

II. Mike

Mike and Tina were very much in love. It was almost sickening. They did everything together. They danced together, they did homework together, they went out for orange chicken together. Kurt was pretty sure they probably picked out their outfits together.

But one thing Tina didn’t do with Mike was watch movies. She had zero interest in a Jackie Chan movie marathon. Luckily for Mike, Kurt was tolerant to any kind of movie after living with Finn and Burt, so he would oblige the pathetically lonely Asian boy and watch action movie after action movie in return for some company.

They hadn’t had as many opportunities to hang out after Kurt transferred to Dalton, so the brunette boy agreed to let Mike interrupt practice so they could get a head start on a Friday night marathon.

“Hey, Kurt.” Mike grinned as he came into the Warbler’s room. “You ready to go?”

“Sorry, guys, I kinda promised.” Kurt smiled apologetically at the others. “See you guys Monday?”

“Yeah, no problem,” Blaine said.

“Wait, who’re you again?” Jeff asked from the back.

“Oh, hey, I’m Mike.” The boy waved. “I’m Kurt’s boyfriend.”

Kurt groaned inwardly.

“I thought the other guy…” Blaine trailed off. “Nevermind.”

“Sorry, long story,” Kurt said. “Let’s go, Mike.” He grabbed Mike’s wrist and pulled him out of the room.

“Puck put you up to it, didn’t he?”

“Totally.”

III. Artie

Kurt had to admit, he was never crazy about the idea of Artie dating his best friend, but they genuinely seemed to like each other, and from what Kurt saw, Artie made Brittany happy, and as long as Brittany was happy, Kurt was happy.

(He just thought she could be happier with Santana, but that’s another story for another time.)

So when Artie admitted to Kurt that he was not only physically impaired, but impaired in the ways of gift shopping, the countertenor took pity on him and agreed to help him out.

A week before Brittany’s birthday, the door to the Warbler’s practice room opened and Artie came in.

“This is a closed rehearsal.” Kurt could tell Dave was getting irritated. “Who are you and why are you here?”

“Artie Abrams.” Artie flashed them all a smile. “Kurt’s boyfriend.”

Kurt was about ten seconds from walking over to the wall and hitting his head against it repeatedly. Eyebrows around the room shot up, and Kurt could practically see their collective mindfuck radiating off their bodies.

“Sorry, guys.” Artie looked at the other boys in the room. “I know you’re busy getting ready for Regionals and all, but this is an emergency. Birthday in one week. Can I please steal Kurt?”

“Can this wait?” Dave asked, irritated.

“He gave Brittany a comb he found on the floor as a good luck charm,” Kurt said. “This is an emergency.”

(Again, he had his own opinion on that, but he kept telling himself that Brittany was happy.)

“…Yeah, you gotta go,” Blaine said.

Artie smiled as he turned his wheelchair around and moved out.

Once the doors were safely closed behind them, Kurt grabbed Artie’s wheelchair by one of the handles on the back.

“Tell Puckerman I will kill him.”

IV. Brittany

Normally Kurt felt bad for leaving practice early, but not today. He absolutely adored Brittany. She was hands down his best friend, and he hated that he wasn’t able to spend as much time with her since leaving McKinley. So he promised her a ‘girl’s’ day, just the two of them. No talking about Artie or Santana. Just them.

He didn’t even offer an explanation or ask for permission to leave when Brittany showed up. He left his place in the ensemble and hugged the blonde girl tightly.

Once he pulled away from the embrace, Brittany looked around the room. “Hi, I’m Kurt’s boyfriend.”

Kurt raised an eyebrow. There was no way Puck would think Brittany could get away with that. Or maybe Puck was just stupider than Kurt gave him credit for.

“Uhh…” The Warblers exchanged confused looks with each other.

“Right,” Kurt said. “Okay, bye!” He took Brittany’s hand and they walked out.

“Why did you tell them you were my boyfriend…?” he asked, after the doors closed behind them.

“Because Puck said ‘if any of you dudes go to see Kurt, tell the Dalton boys that you’re his boyfriend’,” Brittany answered.

“B, I don’t think he meant you.”

“Sure he did,” Brittany said. “Artie calls me dude all the time.”

“He…calls you dude?”

Kurt wondered if he should reconsider his take on the ‘Bartie’ situation.

V. Finn

None of the Warblers had ever been to Kurt’s house, even Blaine. Sure they all knew the horror stories Kurt told about Finn, who spilt tomato sauce on Kurt’s one-of-a-kind white sweater, and Finn, who had thought that Project Runway was a show about secret agents in an airport, but they had never met this elusive Finn. That is, until he came early to pick Kurt up from practice.

“Hey, man, you ready to go?”

“Seriously?!” Wes rolled his eyes and threw up his hands. “Kurt, this has to stop.”

“I told you practice is over at five,” Kurt told his brother.

“Well I mean you’re always asking why you even bother coming to practice if all you do is… ‘Sway and harmonize mindlessly in the background behind Blaine’. Yeah, that’s it.” Finn seemed proud of himself for remembering what Kurt said. The countertenor groaned.

“Okay, who are you?” Wes asked.

“Oh, sorry.” Finn flashed him his half smile. “I’m Finn, Kurt’s boyfriend.”

Kurt saw that coming from a mile away. Apparently the Warbler’s reactions had spread around New Directions, and the guys found it utterly hilarious.

“Oh, so this is the elusive Finn,” Blaine said. “I’m Blaine. Nice to meet you.”

“You too, man.” Finn’s mouth twisted into his half-smile. “Kurt, you ready to go?”

“Yeah,” Kurt sighed. “Let’s get outta here.”

I. Sam

“Can I be honest?”

Kurt looked up from the sheet music he’d been handed. “Sure,” he said.

“This whole boyfriend thing really confuses me,” Blaine confessed. “I mean all of these guys - and that girl - coming in and saying they’re your boyfriend? I don’t get it. You’re not the type of person who goes boyfriend-hopping.”

“I really should explain that,” Kurt laughed. “See, the first guy, Puck? He thought it’d be funny if all of the New Directions guys told you all that they were my boyfriend. And Brittany just got…confused.”

“So…you’re not really dating any of them?” one of the other Warblers asked.

“No, no.” Kurt shook his head. “They’re just all really good friends. Who enjoy making me uncomfortable.”

“Gotcha,” Blaine laughed. “You guys ready to rehearse this number?”

Before Kurt could answer, the door opened and Sam poked his head in.

“Hey baby,” he grinned.

“Hey.” Kurt’s smile spread across his face. “What’re you doing here?”

Sam went over to Kurt, wrapping his arms around the smaller boy’s waist. “I am stealing you away for a perfectly romantic date, starting with my super secret spaghetti sauce from a can, and ending with a special screening of The Dark Knight for two.”

Kurt grinned. “Well then,” he said. “We should go.”

There were a couple of eyerolls in the room, but Kurt ignored them, taking Sam’s hand and the two walked out.

“I wonder if that guy knows that we know he’s not really Kurt’s boyfriend,” Blaine remarked.

“This Puck guy’s a piece of work,” one of the others shook his head.

“C’mon, guys,” Wes said. “Talking about Kurt’s lacking love life won’t win us Regionals.”

--

Out in Sam’s car, the two boys started laughing. “They didn’t believe any of that, did they?” Sam asked.

“Not a word,” Kurt said, kissing the blonde.
