Birthday!
Yay! I had a really great time yesterday! Thank you all for coming!
I began the day with a fine session at Guy's house where we created a fantastic cover of Ebeneezer Goode in a fine black metal style. Man, that song is hard to do and none of its lyrics scan that well. It is, however, awesome. Guy and Rebecca got me a cake too so that was yummy! Oh, and I also amused myself by subverting one of the lyrics on the song. Instead of "He glides into your mind with a sunny Hello" it became "he glides between your thighs with a sunny Hello".
Which I felt was much more fitting.
Then I caught up with the rest of you lot at The Auld Hoose. It was nice to chat with everyone and get steadily more drunk! I was pacing myself this year so no double JD and coke followed by an early night like last year! Eva got me a wonderful card that I could coolour in! And an egg and bacon fridge magnet which I have placed over the pretty picture of a pig that is stuck on the fridge. DIE PIGGY! She also got me Chris Morris' Jam (on dvd) which is wonderful; alas, I already have it. I shall take it back and maybe replace it with BrassEye or the Four Tet dvd. Mmm. Choices!
Bloodlust was pretty amusing as expected. The highlight being our cover version getting played. Twice. Now I just need to practise getting those lyrics committed to memory for when we play next!
This morning I enjoyed opening all my presents! Mostly cards with money in though! My brother got me MediEvil on the PSP which used to be one of my fav platformers on the Playstation and they've revamped it for the new system! Yays! Alice got me loads of cool things! She got me Kasabian's album (which I love) and LateNightTales mixed by The Flaming Lips (not listened to this yet), A nonspill Bubble blowing set, a Kazoo (watch out Februus!), and a pair of jeans which she customised with dye. They look totally amazing and I shall break my promise to dress ultra smart for work tomorrow by wearing them! (oh and all the pockets of the jeans were filled with sweets! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!)
