(no subject)
i am over having blonde in my hair, i've just been too lazy to dye it again. definitely have to do that before i go to Florida, though, 'cause something tells me i'm going to have awful hair all week, which will result in my wearing it up in a ponytail, and my roots go on forever, which isn't exactly cute. fuck, i think i may actually have to make a to-do list so i can remember all of the things i want/need to do before going. this trip is less than two weeks away, i'm so excited to see Anna again. i am not looking forward to the plane, though. the more i think about it, the more i start to panic. i really dislike planes and i am not too thrilled about going on one all alone. mow.
for about four days, i had all of these fancy channels coming in on my television and i was really digging watching IFC and the National Geographic Channel, but now they're gone again. what a tease. cable is too expensive for poor fucks like myself. oh well, what can ya do?
on Saturday, i went with my sister, her husband, and his aunt to the Great Jack-o-lantern Blaze and it was truly amazing. i wasn't feeling well, but i couldn't help but love every second of it, anyway. i've never seen so many jack-o-lanterns in my life, they had everything from silly to scary, then crazy tribal designs and the like, then insects and aquatic life. it was nuts, there was so much to see. the atmosphere was perfect, too, because it was at the Van Cortlandt Manor. i definitely plan to go again next year. Toni, you're coming with me, you'll just die. honest. i'll post pictures when my sister sends them to me, 'cause the only ones i got were with my cell phone and they don't do anything justice.
my tattoo came out exactly the way i wanted it to, and surprisingly enough, it hardly hurt at all. thank you, Alx, at Sunset Tattoos. he took two pictures of me with my camera, but i can't post them because my camera software won't work since my computer is jerked. he also took pictures for his own collection and for about ten minutes, i felt like a fucking model, 'cause he kept asking me to do silly things, like pout. he told me i had beautiful eyes and that i was a beautiful girl with a beautiful tattoo. hahaha. it's always the most unexpected people that pull that shit on me, i swear. but hey, i can always use a little confidence boost, right?
we never wound up going to the movies, but we did chill at Sandra's apartment for a while, where we smoked and watched the majority of Pinnochio. i need to start collecting Disney movies, 'cause all of the VHS tapes we had apparently went to my brother and sister, so all i own is Sleeping Beauty and my VCR doesn't even work anymore. poo.
now that the rain has finally stopped, the weather is downright gorgeous and once my body stops freaking out from the change in temperature, i'm going to spend a lot of time aimlessly wandering and/or rolling around in grass. yes. Halloween day is still up in the air, but i already have two parties that i've been invited to, so i'm all jazzed about that. i pretty much scrapped my main costume idea and now i'm just trying to figure out what i can throw together that will not only be totally rad, but also totally cheap. any suggestions?
i feel like being productive today, like maybe painting my bathroom since i meant to do that, oh, over a year ago. i'm going to see if i have all of the materials i need and maybe get on that. or maybe i'll get distracted by a shiny object and wind up sitting around doing nothing until i'm supposed to hang out with Laura later. oh, the possibilities are endless.
there are birds cleaning themselves in the puddle in the street outside of my house. cuuuute.
