so, I decided to take the proverbial plunge, and against most peoples good judgement [tho I must say in general that people are generally down with the idea] I've decided to become Ken Foster's art agent/dealer.
If it all works out, and Ken doesn't blow the wad of cash I just gave him for art supplies/living expenses [and him and I have a profound and deeply connected friendship, I consider him my bro, I tell him to keep outta trouble and smoke more pot/less other things] then getting custom Ken Foster art pieces will be a lot easier than randomly bumping into Ken on the street and hoping you have enuff spare change to grab a piece of a Vancouver living legend.
I mean, who here doesn't either own a Ken Foster, or know someone that owns his art. I've almost got enuff to do a gallery showing. and that's just my collection. other peoples are infinitely bigger than mine and span back almost 15 years. Thats a lotta street graffiti by anyone's standards. To me, hes a West Coast Canadian version of Basquiat, with a much easier surname to spell/pronounce.
I'll let you know when you can start ordering pieces. Canvas would be the medium for most of the pieces, prices are custom per piece, but expect a simple webpage where you can peep some of his new designs [and dont worry, the DJ guy/Pain and Wastings characters and art painted on the back of some rusty shelf found in an alley will still be offered, me n Ken were just thinkin a lil more of the highend stuff as well]
A productive day nonetheless, highlighted by the purchase of a graffiti magazine from Japan and hanging with Mitch @ 3rd [the ONLY graffit source in town], hanging out downstairs in the Amsterdam staff lounge playing Metal Gear Solid Portable [TEH KOJIMA SICKNESS FO RIZZL!!!] on Justin's PSP whilst watching him and Brian rack up the links on a bigass projector playin Tiger Woods golf for the PS2 AND smoking the BOMBDIGGY Kush wet bubble hash for 5 hours straight and then pickin up some fresh new hemp wear from Satori Movement and Creation Skateboards @ The BC Marijuana Headquarters - also peeped the Cannabible 3 and will be pickin that up fo SHO...its unreal and Jason King's gonna be doing ANOTHER big book, but this time its all sick photoshots of glass pipes and artwork named "Head Glass", sometime this year...STOKED!!!
