(no subject)
So I've been posting privately here on livejournal to talk about all my shit with myself and it's actually super helpful. I've started maybe two dozen paper journals in my life before, but something always freaks me out and I stop writing it. Maybe because people have always found and read those journals (I just remembered I used to have one of those cheesy journals with the tiny lock and key so NOBODY COULD EVER READ IT but of course they did), but for some reason, the completely non-privacy of the internet works for me. Also, this way I don't feel like I'm wasting valuable drawing/sketching/scripting paper. You know how that goes. So whatever, I feel all confused about tons of stuff up but that's a post for five minutes from now.
Anyway, in very exciting news, there's a new very secret J.J. Abrams film (produced by him but directed by someone else) coming later this year. The trailer will be before prints of Iron Man 2, I guess. It's called Super 8, seems to be briefly about developed Super 8 footage that kids are watching when they see a MONSTER in the frames. According to the folks involved, it "is absolutely connected to Cloverfield." It might be a prequel. I know it sounds like I work for the movie studio and am advertising it, but really, I just get excited about geeky secret sci-fi things. I assume this means that the trailer will be on the internet the afternoon Iron Man 2 comes out. Color me fucking excited (and curious), because, although I've seen Cloverfield enough times now and officially like it (thanks), I still feel it could use more monster. The story I heard from the creator of said monster is that it is really just a baby, and the rampage is more like skittish fear than anger. So shit, if we get some background on that, that would be awesome. Also, it might be totally different, which is also why I'm so excited.
