PERMISSIONS
possession
Being part-ghost, Chris has the ability to possess other living beings. It works as a powerful suppression of someone's mind and spirit, taking over their body and, assuming he knows or learns how to how to work them, gaining access to any supernatural abilities they may have. He would often use this ability to stop criminals or get an innocent out of the way while avoiding collateral damage. He is not, however, above using it for his own gains if he feels it necessary, which is more likely to happen the longer he stays in the city. Of note is that his proficiency in this skill is the least practiced of all his new ghostly abilities - he usually relies on his level of power being greater than those he would try to possess over finesse.
If your character would have a resistance to the possession (such as mental barriers or natural spiritual power), or you would rather he not be able to possess them (via the city's influence or other means), please fill out the questions below.
:
Would it be okay for Chris to possess your character? (Case-by-case basis is a valid answer.)
Any resistance against it? (Such as mental barriers or spiritual power. If so, how much would they be able to fight?)
If your character has powers, would he be able to access them?
Anything else?
immunities & oddities
Canonically, Chris is immune to empaths. After he took an empath-blocking potion, even one of the strongest witches in his world couldn't read his emotions. The exception to this is when he feels an extreme emotion, such as strong love or demonically-exasperated anger. Likewise, he is also inoculated against spider demon poison.
For those with spiritual senses, he would come off as both alive and dead at the same time - the signal flips strengths depending on which form he is in. (Feels more dead when in ghost form, feels more alive when not.) The stronger the sense, the easier it will be to recognize the ghost as Chris and vice versa.
For any of the time sensitives, he has one wonky personal timeline:
• Two years ago, he traveled ~20 years into the past to before he was born (from 2026 to 2003).
• He split up his parents as part of his plan to change the future...
• ... and briefly disappeared from existence when he nearly wasn't conceived.
• Somewhere in the middle of these, there were more time travel shenanigans when he entered an unstable time portal and found himself in times such as the dinosaur age and the American Civil War. It's a bit of a Noodle Incident.
• He died shortly before he was born; he revived after his birth. The future of his world changed drastically (for the better) between the two points.
• Back home, his timeline runs concurrently with his own infant-self while he is stuck in the past.
