In a few hours, the Cure will be on stage and I will be suffering from an epileptic attack of some sort. Seriously, I don't think I've ever been so excited for a show before. Okay I need to stop thinking about it because I'm giving myself a headache with all the anticipation.
Yesterday was a little crazy; as soon as Doug got back from his interviews, we went to the bar. We decided to check out this one place, but they wouldn't accept out-of-state IDs? I was pissed but anyways... we ended up at the bar at the Quality Inn down the road and played far too many games of pool. And we ended up having a fun chat with this middle-aged drunk fellow; it was funny. It looks like Doug and Rob may end up playing an acoustic show there sometime in the near future which is awesome.
After getting a slight buzz there, we picked up Joss and went to Cobblestones to drink some more. Listened to some karaoke- oh my lord, there was this little boy who was singing Alicia Keys songs and it was adorable. Yet I'm still baffled as to why an eleven-year-old boy was in a bar at 11pm. Anyways, after another few pitchers and shots, Joss felt we needed a change of scenery. So I ended up at my third bar of the day. And I would just like to congratulate myself for kicking some serious ass playing pool at Murph's Study Hall... I guess I just need to be drunk to succeed at most things.
I really ought to finish getting ready but True Life: I'm on Adderall is on MTV and it's interesting. Umm... this week I bought the Donnie Darko soundtrack and I'm a little disappointed because all the tracks are really short and I don't think it was worth the $18. But I also bought the new Modest Mouse, as well as an O.A.R. live album which are both awesome.
EEEEE- I know the Cure is going to be incredible live, but I'm just hoping Mogwai and the others will be equally satisfying. Expect a very detailed concert review tomorrow!
