Sick, Stuff and Things, not to mention that Convention
What the hell is going on? People are getting sick left and right. I have been sick for over a week. Symptoms come and go and alter themselves. What the hell is this, Outbreak? I don't want a headache that turns into Ebola of the buttknee one month later. My ear has been clogged since Saturday. Tonight I am hitting it with an ear candle. Yeah, I'll show that Sinister Demon Mucus Gremlin to shut my ear down.
I have finally been getting around to listening to everyone's holiday jam mixes that they gave me. I had no idea up until the new year that I have a serious tender point for indie synth pop. Sorry all, Mandy is winning so far. Aaron, your double disk extravaganza is superb and I don't even count it in the category. Mandy just wins at making me uncomfortable with my manhood. So I guess there was no competition originally.
One personal goal of mine for 2008 is to be a Creator Captain of Divine Soups. I want to be skilled with soup making. I want to make a boiling pot of water turn into an experience you will never forget and then crave.
With Katsucon around the corner, it's time to see all the familiar faces that you just wish you could immerse yourself in all the time. I love this Con. People may have been going for years and it could have been better at one point but it will be my 2nd time there. I have been waiting for this all year. From the Irish Pub across the street to spending time and the tables and everything in between, I will be nothing but smiles. Coffeefest is going on that weekend as well in DC. I don't know all the details yet but, everyone I know in the biz will be there. I would love to make it over there at some point but I doubt I will have time. It's good to know that my alter ego will also have a convention the same weekend as me though. I plan on bringing my paints and painting all Katsu weekend. So much for commissions (that I never seem to do anyway). I wanna party! Not to mention take advantage of my chef's fine cooking. I wonder if he will have soup? Hm...
