Workworkworkwork. I am juggling multiple projects besides the usual at work right now. 'tis the season you know. Why didn't we get Garage Band with the laptops...me: um the laptops are older than garage band and they have dismal RAM.
So now the ever long questions- to Mac or not to Mac, when the rest of the school is PC. Research continues...grant writing...wooooo
I came down hard on my students today. Two in particular. I actually used the words "how dare you". I feel horrible for these words, and after I said them I pointed my finger at myself.... but I feel I'm too soft sometimes.
I went to the *chokegag* mall last night in quest of a gift request from a name picking gift exchange thing. The quest was unsuccessful however I won in the end with treats and gifts for the momz and came out wanting to hit something with a spongey baseball bat. ga-doink.
My pops didn't get laid off today. WOO HOO. J & J products for all!!
FYI Maine has tougher PRAXIS score requirements than ummmmmmmmm like everyone in the Universe!!
I had fun with some one on one time with a couple students today doing some hands on, simple chemical reactions with some 5ers.
The 6ers and I ventured down to the canal and picked up goods for mini-ponds for the classroom. I'm hoping for some good microscopic critters to come about. Friday we're going to look at and hopefully feed some prine shrimp (sea monkeys).
The 4zers are starting the solar system. We've covered the basics and will hopefully buid a paper model of the sun on Friday and its many fascinating layers. Of course glitter and pipe cleaners are involved.
