Oh god this fandom makes me want to write for it. I haven't written in some time so I apologize if it sucks.

Molly Hooper opened up the door to 221B Baker Street with the key Mrs. Hudson entrusted her for the weekend. She set her bag down before trotting up the stairs to the living room and kitchen area of the flat, she scanned the area finding scattered magazines and cat toys on the floor. "The boys must be up to some mischief." She said picking up the magazines and stacked them neatly on the coffee table. She walked into the kitchen setting the keys down and picked up a sheet of paper laid out on the counter. She began reading the large printed lettering across the top of the page.
Guide to Caring for John and Sherlock.
Molly wondered how much harder could it be taking care of these two compared to taking care of her own Toby at home. She read on silently.
1. The boys are fed twice every day. Once in the morning and once in the evening. The water dispenser should last all weekend.
Make sure Sherlock eats! He is not fond of eating around others and I am not sure why. If he does not eat, sometimes John can coax him to. If that does not work, call Mrs. Collins from down the street and ask her to bring Mycroft over (see other cats).
2. John has a slight limp in his left hind leg. This is completely normal, he injured this leg years before coming to live here. The injury has fully healed but he still retains the limp from time to time.
3. Do not let Sherlock get bored. There should be enough toys in the flat and enough going on outside to entertain him, he gets bored rather easily though and will try to claw the wallpaper and curtains. Please do watch that he does not get too much catnip or gets into my 'herbal soothers'.
4. I have recently taken away Sherlock's favorite toy, a small stuffed skull, after I found him clawing at the wallpaper. He will try to sway you to give it back to him. DON'T. He will not have it back until I return. He has been a naughty kitty and needs to learn his lesson!
As Molly read, she heard soft mewing and purring coming from below. Sherlock was rubbing his dark fluffy body against Molly's leg seeking attention.
"This must be what Mrs. Hudson is talking about." she thought.
Sherlock stopped and jumped up on the counter. He continued on, rubbing his head and body against her arm.
"No Sherlock, I am not giving your skull back."
He looked up at Molly with his large sad eyes; very reminiscent of the cat from those Shrek movies in a last ditch effort to convince her to give up the location of his beloved plush skull.
"I am not going to fall for that." She smiled scratching the large cat's head. He pulled away giving her an angry look before jumping off the counter. He would have to try again later.
Molly giggled at the pouting feline before continuing to read the rest of the note.
5. There will be other cats that frequently pass by and even come into the flat. Don't be alarmed. One is an older grey Maine Coon named Lestrade, he is friends with Sherlock and John and they usually go off exploring together or whatever cats do while they are out. Another is a tabby female, Sherlock doesn't seam to like her but John gets along well with her. And then there is the one mentioned earlier, Mycroft. He looks similar to Sherlock only with tuxedo colouring and is a bit plumper. He is Sherlock's only brother and they do not get on well. Mycroft can be very useful though, especially when Sherlock refuses to eat or has to go to the vet and hides from me.
Also, Sherlock likes to pester the Anderson's dog when he walks by, I think he does this intentionally.
6. Sherlock likes to bring home different body parts of small animals he finds, mainly birds, mice, and rats. This sometimes upsets John, especially if he finds them in their bed. Just sweep up the parts and throw them away before John can find them.
7. I am leaving the number for animal control just in case, Sherlock frequently gets into mischief in places he should not be. Sometimes John will return without Sherlock, if he looks distressed go in search of him, he could be hurt or stuck. If not found, call the number. Also, If Sherlock returns without John, wait a little bit to see if he shows up, he does have shorter legs after all. If not call Mrs. Collins to see if Mycroft brought him back there. If not there, call the number.
8. Lastly, do not disturb Sherlock and John while they are napping together. Both do not sleep well without each other, as John is prone to nightmares and Sherlock is an insomniac. This arrangement seams to work for them both.
Hopefully the boys won't give you too much trouble this weekend.
Sincerely yours,
Mrs. Hudson
Molly looked up from the paper over to where both boys were nestled together in the light pouring in from a window, Sherlock licking John's ears as John snored softly.
"Well, you two are being little angels for now. I'll just give Sally a ring." Molly smiled pulling her phone from her jeans pocket dialing the top number in her phone list.
"Hey gorgeous." Sgt. Donovan's voice came through, immediately recognizing her girlfriend's number.
Molly bit her lip blushing at the sweet greeting. "I was wondering if you wanted to pop by after work? I'm over at Mrs. Hudson's for the weekend taking care of the cats. We could have dinner and watch some telly or a movie."
"That sounds great love, I'll be off in twenty and then I'll be over. Baker Street is that correct?" Sally replied
"Yes, 221B. Also could you check on Toby while Im away?"
"Sure thing darling, I'll see you soon."
Later that evening while Molly and Sally were cuddled together on the couch, John joined in next to them settling down beside the two watching the screen. Sherlock joined a few minutes later resting his head against John looking rather bored.
EPILOGUE:
Sadly that was the last time everything was calm that weekend. Sherlock had found the location of his plush skull without having to use manipulative tactics. Every time Molly tried to take it away from him he would bite her and sink his claws into her hand, resulting in her left arm having to be bandaged.
When Mrs. Hudson returned on Sunday afternoon, Molly met her at the door holding her bag under her good arm and held out the key.
"Oh dear! What happened to your arm?" Mrs. Hudson inquired.
"Sherlock found the skull somehow. I tried to take it away from him but he kept clawing and biting me!" Molly exclaimed.
"Im so sorry dear, Sherlock can be rather difficult. I'll make you a cup of tea and you can tell me all about it." Mrs. Hudson took Molly's bag and setting it down before ushering her back upstairs.
While they sipped their tea, Molly recounted everything that happened that weekend. Having to save John several times from trees because Sherlock had left him there, the animal parts found in the guest bed, having to take both of them to the vet because Sherlock pissed off an aggressive Doberman and got bitten while John got thrashed about trying to save his friend from the vicious beast, and many other things.
Mrs. Hudson apologized many times for Sherlock's behavior saying "he's not normally like that" and "I don't know what has gotten into him?"
On the way out, Molly politely thanked Mrs. Hudson for the tea and the payment with a bit of interest for all her trouble.
Mrs. Hudson sighed as she closed the door, knowing she would have to find herself yet another new cat sitter in the future. She turned to go up the stairs when she spotted Sherlock sitting on the landing twitching his tail and looking rather proud of himself, "Don't think you're getting off scott free you little devil."
