How is it that I end up watching Peter and Svetlana's kid while they stay together with my family in Spain? Rasputina is my step-daughter and I love her, but I can't help but feel it's a little off!
Peter and Svetlana will probably be back soon. Amaris hasn't made any rumblings since we got here, and I haven't been able to find hide nor hair of her. I'm going to try for a little longer, though. I still have a few of Ryn's tricks left up my sleeve.
I'm sorry this all landed on you though, Aly. I understand that it's huge, and I promise I'll make it up to you when I get back.
Please don't get meathooked, David SeveralSpanishMiddleNames Montgomery.
No, it's not...look, I love the kids. I'm having a wonderful time with them. Little William is having a ball with his cousins. That's not the issue. It's feeling like I'm less important than...
Believe me, I make it my business to avoid doing just that.
Ah, excellent. I'm glad he's happy, and that you're having fun with all of them. That's very good to know.
I understand. This journey was never about Svetlana, though. She just happens to be good muscle. And a hell of a lot more trustworthy than Felicity and Sera...
I swear on my honour as a thespian to avoid any and all meat factories.
I've been scrutinising. Travelling, too, but there is scrutiny. The beauty of not being there all the time is that Peter never knows when I might be watching. A little healthy paranoia is good.
He does love you. He's given me absolutely no reason to think otherwise, and you'd hear it honestly from me if he did. And believe me, he'd hear it from me, too.
Not at all, Aly. There is absolutely no reason for imminent pummeling from me. (Though I would accept your wishes and refrain from pummeling if there were.)

He's perfect, David. Absolutely perfect.
I know it wasn't. And you're right, but...argh.

Ah, perfect! That must mean he's a Montgomery.
Yeah... I know. He is my sister's husband, and therefore fair game for all sorts of scrutiny.

Well said, mi querido. Well said.
Are you scrutinising him then? Is he afraid of you in his Petery way?

You're brilliant. You...you think he loves me, right?

I am not suggesting you pummel my husband by the way. Please don't.
