[Bitty!Lab is staring at you, confused.]

You s-should go...before the flowers bloom.

[He shakes his head, and moves a little closer.]

The plant feeds on blood--[He doesn't want anyone but himself consumed by it.]

*pets* I was there earlier. *keeps couch warm for you?*

It's the blood of a god that makes it bloom. I descended from...

[He stops, as his memories catch up with him, and the floating reaper behind him solidifies, looking absolutely ghastly.]

...You are...[Ryu's soul almost hurts to look at, it's so bright.]

When do you get home?

... But we're from different worlds, so...

And besides. I can't just stand by and watch you do this to yourself. If it's what you have to do, I understand, but you should at least have someone by you.

In a couple hours, we're going out to lunch.

It happened a long time ago...you don't need to worry.

[He smiles, almost sadly.] This is the first time I've seen someone with such a bright half of a soul.

[He smiles a bit.]

Ah... you can see that? Yeah.. like I said, I'm a god. ... I'm incomplete, though.

gnaaaaargh they are talking FOREVER

So I see...[The sprouts coming out of his skin grow, and he's sent roots breaking through the floor, now.]

It must be...difficult, for you.

Aside from feeling a little empty, not really. I have good friends who travel with me.

I'm glad. Hold those people precious...

[He shudders, words being choked off as the plant takes over more of his body. He won't cry out, because someone will come too soon, but...]

[Ryu moves forward again, reaching out towards Lab and finding a spot clear of plant stuff to put his hand on. It ends up being a shoulder.]

[ghost_profe]

[The vines immediately start trying to get a hold of Ryu, to latch in and burrow on. The life slowly drains out of Labrador's life...and he grows older as it does. Ten years...]

[unfadingdragon]

[It's just a dream, it's just a dream, it's just a dream... Ryu reminds himself of this as he holds on, not wanting to abandon Labrador.]
