The New Life
A Yami no Matsuei Drabble

AN: An alliterative Hisoka-is-brought-back-to-life AU. Written April, 2005 for wordsofastory.
From the darkest corner of Hisoka's bedroom, Tsuzuki watches -- sees how the sheet, white as any shroud, with each breath shifts slightly, hinting at hip bones or the line of a thigh; how long fingers curl towards large palms. (He remembers younger hands, thin-fingered and seemingly fragile, how the delicate skin of small wrists felt against his lips.) In Hisoka's face are faint wrinkles, invisible in the dark to human eyes.
He tells himself it's better this way. But Tsuzuki knows he will watch year by year as a slab of white stone is slowly hidden by long green grass.
