Though Much Is Taken
A Yami no Matsuei Drabble

Tsuzuki doesn't like hospitals. Especially small private ones where people linger.
A room. White. Bare. Cold. Pale skin drawn tight over a wasted form. Weak, feeble, with dull eyes.
Hours of Your time's up. It's over. Please. Tsuzuki's voice ragged around the edges.
Green eyes vague with pain, but no surrender, fixed on him, defiant, implacable.
More begging Isn't three years enough. Move on. Tsuzuki meets that gaze, recognizes that hollow look of hopeless fatigue.
But the answer is always, "No. I won't go. I'm not giving up."
A slip of paper between his fingers I'm sorry. Expecting no forgiveness.
