What does your username mean:There is a tradition in theatre that, every night when the theatre is closed for the day, a light is left shining on the stage, at the apron, at the very point where stage threatens to become audience. The stories say this "Ghost Light" is set out so the theatre will never be dark, meaning here both non-producing and absent of light. Other stories say the ghost light is put out, here meaning "placed", not "extinguished" (I'm reading Lemony Snicket, sorry) so all of the theatre's ghosts may gather around it and perform their favorite monologues, scenes and soliloquies for each other. In reality, the ghost light is put out so no idiots or other innocent souls walk off the edge of the stage in the dark. The first task on the list when the theatre opens is to put the ghost light away, and the last task is to put it out on stage for the ghosts. That is my metaphor for stage managing: first in and last out.

Please describe yourself in at least 3 sentences I'm an unapologetic fat kid, forever on the quest to give up soda. I'm bipolar and actually happy about it. Not happy that I'm bipolar but happy that there's a name for what's wrong with my brain and a medication to help out. I like to read, craft, cook, and hang out with my precious husband, Sparks. I love sloths, they are my spirit animal.

Books/Authors: as a kid I loved the Trixie Belden mysteries. I'm rereading those now from the viewpoint of the crabby adult and they're making me roll my eyes.
Movies: one of my absolute favorites is Six-String Samurai.

What kinds of things do you like to post about? Daily life, mostly --- I like to find the funny/absurd/interesting/transcendant in the minutiae of daily life. Also dogs, books, current events. I do dip into politics sometimes. I like camping and outdoor activities.
What do you look for in 'journal friends? I like folks who post regularly, and who comment regularly, even if it's just to say hi. We all get busy, but if you never comment, that's not the kind of relationship I'm looking for.
