Advent Challenge Day Nine: The dying relationship

Dec 10, 2012 10:41

"You always do this! You never want to take directions, and we ALWAYS get freaking lost!" Diane shouted at her husband. "You know how important this is, but you still think it's okay to make a complete fool of me!" she jutted out her bottom lip and turned towards the window, focusing on the landscape flying past the car window. "You think I'm doing this on purpose? You think I want to be stuck in this bloody car with you, instead of at home watching the game" Phil said in a raised voice. "If you don't get me to this meeting in twenty minutes, then you won't have a snowflake's hope in hell's chance of watching any games for the rest of the season! Now, drive" Phil looked at her, and wondered how the hell he could have fallen for her. She'd been different then, though. But the money... His money, had changed her. She used to be so sweet, but now, all she did was demand to the point where he wished that he'd never even met her. He'd thought so many times lately about leaving her, but deep down, he knew that he couldn't. Especially not at this time of year... at Christmas.
