Well I think I would definitely like #99cccc for links and on a color pallette thingy it suggested this dusky pink as one that goes with it #cc9999 which I think would look nice as a link hover colour. And if you need another colour then #71b7b7, and of course white - some shade of. I like font: Georgia.

I'm struggling with wallpapers at the moment as so many of them don't look right when you tile them. You can see the join. This one, white cropped off, looks nice though.

I might try making a little tile, but in any case I can always change that if and when I find something better. I'm just so excited to see what you make.

Hope that's not all too muddled and not very helpful. Is it anything to help you get started? I will sort the header for Monday, promise. But if you can't do until after your hols that's just fine.

tiling is no problem really, i can most likely make at least some of these nicely tiled (i've posted some background on here too before which i've tiled from screencaps of wallpapers).
#99cccc is definitely a big big yes - that's the link color i used on this layout too ... :)
also, i could try to work out the header img you linked, similarly to this layout :)

Yes that would be nice for the header, or ... I have made a fandom one now that goes with my fics. Done a few versions with and without borders and with and without text. Just realised I haven't done one with no border but with text. I know you kind of incorporate a border into the layout so I can do that tonight for tomorrow. Anyway, here they are:

white border white text

As far as the wallpapers go that would be lovely if you can tile maybe

or else I was thinking that I really like white wood and all things Shaker style so maybe one of these for background:

Well if I had to go for one bg it'd be this one if that fits with your plan.

And after seeing your idea about how to incorporate a small header image like in your other layout yesterday I made this which would fit just right. So after all the bombardment of stuff (sorry *blush* )this is where I'm at.

And one other thing is that can the font-size on the entries be 11px please. I only say that because reading a long fic, any smaller and some people find it hard to read. I had a comment yesterday on one of my posts saying how they loved the layout (one of yours) mentioning specifically how easy it was to read unlike some others.

So, still excited. :D
