The Jade Effect
Today I got the call that I can begin work at the new work study job that my fan Billy got me. This is not a joke. He appeared one day at an Int'l Club meet (but he's American) attached himself and later got me the interview with the boss at the Int'l Trade Development Center, where he works. So, I went in for my first day, and my fan base got BIGGER, just like it used to be when I worked with the military people. The co-workers (other than my school friends) are all "middle-parent-agers" which means that the young grandma-ish woman think I'm "SOOO cute & tiny" and the men fall all over the place, trying to serve me. They want me to do graphics for them! As the boss was *groupie-ing* over me, he explained that they have the full line of Macromedia graphic programs (aka EXPENSIVE) which I can use, and also learn to make webpages at work with Dreamweaver. Then, he OFFERED TO BUY ME THE FULL LINE OF ADOBE GRAPHICS PRODUCTS, TOO "if it would work better for" me. He let me do homework and "socialize with my co-workers" for the rest of the time, after intro-ing me to the other big-wigs, who also acted very impressed.
