I forgot to post about the 4th of July!!!!
It was sooo eventful and fun!
Then, I ran off to Shini's the next day and we watched the Gackt concert and movies all day like Beavis and Butthead.
**But, back to America's & Gackt's Berfday:
It was FIFA WORLD CUP ~Italy vs. Germany!!!~ and my bro and I watched w/ my aunt's b/f who is German (yet does not speak it.) We are Italian by blood (yet do not speak it.) OMG I was sure Germany was going to make the first goal... but it was very close and nobody could score in nearly 90 minutes. THEN, during the last two minutes, Italy got a goal!! THEN, less than 1 1/2 minutes later, with no time left on the clock, Italy made a SECOND GOAL!!! It was the first time Germany has ever been beaten on their homefield!!
WHAT A VICTORY!!!
(This Sunday they play France for the actual first place in World Cup!)
Then, I ate a little cajun food, drank coffee, water, tea & booze (much less booze) and made merry until it was firework time. For whatever reason, I can't remember what I actually, DID! I was so happy after the HYDE concert and Italy's victory that I was completely HYPER and ran around a lot, yet required very, very little food. (Then again, I am always that way.) I was going crazy because all of my friends who are into World Cup ran out of minutes AT THE SAME TIME and were ALL unreachable by cell!! And, Maru never came over to watch it with us! :( I think I did some exercises, after that. But, really I didn't drink much, despite the fact that this sounds completely incriminating! hahaha.
Then, it was "the regular" for the fireworks. But you have NEVER seen them like this! Each year, it is our ritual to watch them from the rent-a-fence in front of the very people who shoot them off for the city. From this position, you can FEEL the fireworks! The boom of the launching hits your entire body and when they explode, it takes up your entire field of vision and you have to crane your neck up and backwards! And, they are SO loud that you don't know if your ears or your body is being hit harder. It is SOOO energizing & fun!
Afterwards, we ate cake and listened to orchestra music. It was a cool 4th of July.
~And in honor of Gackt's birthday, I gave the GacktPoster a... Magnum Popper! hahahaha.YEAH!
