Another Old Entry. C/o Oct. 16, 2006
Given a cake, let’s say... a chocolate cake. For every person sharing that cake, the less the next person gets of the cake, right?
What if I told you that maybe, the same goes with like?
For each person you give/receive like to/with, the less the next person gets.
What made me aware of this situation?
Again, my friends.
One of my friends has so much affection to give, yet no one to give it to. She literally is exploding inside to release the pent up emotions. She NEEDS a boyfriend, in short...
My other friend on the other hand, has had more than a couple of guys fall head over heels for her, and at the same time, she feels pretty much the same for them too, until it reached this one guy... Her story?
She likes this guy, who didn’t seem to like her back. She was so hung up over him, trying to figure out if he likes her too or if he just wanted to stay friends. One day, he told her that he DID like her... what’s strange? She suddenly lost interest in him. Weird right? I know...
Like is the cake... In this case, there are two cakes. One for each of my friends. While one of them has no one to share the cake with, she has it all to herself. She eventually gets full, but still has the cake. She slowly fills up, almost ready to burst...
My other friend on the other hand, has 2-3 people who like her, so she shares the cake with them. It’s all great; they still have a decent amount to be pretty much satisfied. But when the 4th person rolls along, she finds that she doesn’t have enough cake to share with the 4th person... thus losing interest in him.
I just noticed this tonight, funny isn’t it? While other people have so much cake to share, others have so many people to share the cake with...
...Mankind is so illogical...
But I guess that’s what makes us different from the other animals on earth... :)
