I just thought I'd give everyone a little something to think about this Christmas...

Did you hear the news? Ann's daughter is pregnant!
Isn't she betrothed to the carpenter, Joseph?
Yes...and rumor has it the child's not his.
Isn't she just back from visiting her Aunt?
True...and she claims her Aunt just had a son...named him John.
No! Elizabeth is too old to have a child!
Well, that's what Mary claims.
Any word what Joseph will do?
Word is he's going to marry her anyway.
He must love her very much.
In a small town filled with people come to add their names to the tax roll...
Did you hear the news?
That couple who couldn't find any inn with room for them, the ones we sent down to the stable? The young woman just had a baby. Well, at least the stable is warm. She was so near her time, and looked so tired, we took pity on them.
Yes, I went to help with the birthing. She had a boy. We used a manger for his cradle,and you know the oddest thing happened. All the animals just stood in a circle to look at him. I tried to chase away all those shepherds, but the young mother insisted I let them in to see the child. That's as strange as that huge star in the sky. Do you think it's an omen?

Kings! They MUST be Kings! So richly dressed, and bearing gifts to that baby over in the stable...Some people are strange.

Someone who went to that wedding in Canna said they ran out of wine and the Carpenter's son made more out of water'
Oh, sure, he did..Ha! You're so gullible! They probably just found more hidden away.

The Carpenter's boy was just in the Temple making all kinds of predictions and claiming to know God's mind in things!
No! Is that what all that noise was about?
Yes, they ran him out of town.
That boy will be a sword to his mother's heart!

Tobias says he was in that huge crowd of people on the mountain. Thousands came to listen to that prophet. When it started getting late in the day, he and his followers fed every last one of them! Where did he get all that food?

Last night they arrested the miracle-worker. Word is, they're going to do everything they can to get a death sentence.
What did he do to deserve death?
I don't know, other than to get everyone with influence mad at him. He should have kept quieter, not rocked the boat, so to speak.

They crucified him...he died, begging God to forgive everyone with his last breath.

He's ALIVE!!! Jesus of Nazereth rose from the dead!

He died, then rose from death to show us just how much God loves us. We CAN live in PEACE...there IS LOVE in the world. Be JOYFUL and celebrate this Christmas as a new beginning.
