So if I haven't told you by now, it's time you know. I have this AMAZING friend at school named Kareem Black. He is such a good balla, and an ace/TBG hybrid. Its such a great combination. So I went to Drexel today to play with him and a few of his friends who are all black. So its 5 black guys that are athletic and good at basketball, and me. So I went to Kareem's apartment to pick him and one of his 4 friends and from there we went to the gym to play. So on the way he has some CD which he starts to play. In the beginning I tune it out as I consider it just a bunch of noise. After closer examination I see how AMAZING it is. So we finally reach the gym and we have parked, but I am so keen on this song that I want to stay in the car and write down these lyrics. Some of these rhymes are flat out phenomenal. You probably think I am just being an ace so I will back up my statement with some solid examples...
I'm doing a hundred on the HIGHWAY
so if you do the speed limit get the fuck out of MY WAY.
I'm DUI, barely ever caught SOBER,
and you about to get ran the fuck OVER
WOW!!!
I am impressed. Alot of the rest of this song is repetition of lyrics, but I can't blame this guy. I'm sure it took significant time to come up with such genius rhymes.
My other favorite part is the fact that when the guy is rhyming he emphasizes the rhyming words at the end. I can picture him being as impressed and happy with himself as me, so he NEEDS to emphasize the rhyme.
So at this point I have heard that song about 10 times because I am not very good at understanding what they are saying, but eventually I get it all on paper. By this time both my friend and his friend have lost their patience, and I decide that its good for my future that we leave. But don't worry I will get the rest of these rhymes on paper sooner or later...REST ASSURED!
