LJ rant
So I think I'm going to rant in here about LJ until my paid account expires and not renew it. What I will do after that, who knows.
I am sick of waiting and waiting for LJ to fix stuff, which only seems to result in them breaking things. Don't these guys have a strategy for testing patches and rolling them out in a way that they can work?
Time and time again in LJ Maintenance (I refuse to even LJ user tag) I read about patches they did that failed and that they have to change and roll back and fix. What the hell is going on.
If something works, why do they have to go and break it. My biggest gripe these days is that you can't even click on a link. OK so what the hell did they do to break clicking on a link? Make some script that is hideously bad and incompatible?
Every time I see someone LJ cut, I groan because it's going to mean thumping Enter or the Mouse button until something works.
I know all the Loud Twitter people are Cutting because otherwise people would complain, but I would much rather jump over the various heading links, rather than have to bounce through all these links.
I am disappointed that I am so fed up with the LJ experience, because it used to be something I enjoyed, and liked telling people I enjoyed. I used to pay, because I wanted to support them, and wanted some of the extra features.
Now I just hope everything to work once in a while.
