But first to finish TOS. We are coming closer. I really had a great deal of anxious feelings about diving fully into the mpreg aspect of things but decided to just let Sherlock be Sherlock and, well, here we are. About what I would expect from the world's silliest genius. I hope all that planetary knowledge somehow comes in handy because he's flying without a net here.
So glad for the shoutout to my dear Mycroft and Lestrade. Yes, these two are playing very rough, which I very much like to imagine as should be screamingly obvious to readers. Johnlock devotees may rightly resent time taken from our heroes to focus on Mystrade, but I never can resist. And as I said above, it will take the combined forces of all three of our noble heroes to bring Sherlock home safely, I suspect. And yet I never count Sherlock out, even when he's at his worst he generally pulls a rabbit out from somewhere.
I am certainly in agreement with you about showing the delivery. I wouldn't do it in a non-mpreg fic, even if it was an AU or sci-fi, supernatural fic, etc. Just because its mpreg doesn't make the delivery more interesting, at least to me. As for whether at some point we may meet the infant!Johnlock, I am undecided. This is not a fluffy fic and I hope readers can bear with me staying in my sweet spot, which is suspense. I do believe in redemption and renewal, however. We shall see. Thanks as always for your thought-provoking comments, which truly feed my muse.
