Hi Maude, *blushes hard*. I had a very hard time making my mind up to do it, not having written off of the episodes before, and there must be a lot of great Reichenbach fic out there. I still have much more to tell. As a writer I have tried to bring momentum and suspense, the kind of stories that I myself like to read (long, intricate ones!). I love your thoughts here about Mycroft and about Greg. This chapter 'Dead Man's Hand', was fiendishly hard to write and was so important to me to show both Greg and Mycroft facing terrible danger, facing their fears, finding each other. You are so right about Mycroft, always the savior. To the point that even though Greg did come to save him, he pretty well assumed he would be needing to save himself, not wanting to endanger Greg. And he did save himself, in the end. I do believe they are meant to be together. But I notice that Mick Moriarty aka O'Neill knows now that Mycroft is in Macau and knows about his gambling scheme, and he is running around shooting at the triads at will. I am still worried about Mystrade. And John and Sherlock...what will they find in Brighton? I am so very honoured that this story has found a place in your Sherlock heart and perhaps your bookshelf too, that is a tremendous compliment. I will be in London in October to, among other things, see Mark Gatiss in his new play. If I get a chance I'll gently remind him he needs to be at his keyboard, creating amazing Sherlock episodes and please, please more than just Season 3. Thanks so much for your wonderful encouragement of The Reichenbach Tapes. I need to finish my update to The Omega Sutra and then I am updating here with Chapter 18. Ghislaine
