Remind me never to get on Mycroft's bad side. He really knows how to play a very mean poker game.
And I am so intregued to hear more about the Holmes family. We just keep going further down the rabbit hole there, don't we...

Mycroft is the meanest of all of them. By far. And today, he put that to very good use.

I added an after-note that the circumstance of Lord Anthony Holmes having disappeared in Borneo on an expedition when Sherlock was a child was the subject of Chapter 3 of my fic "The Irresistibility of Orbits: The Forgetting of Things Past". (The one where John had amnesia.

I've been plotting this story arc for a while; I didn't want anyone to think that that I just threw the Holmes family connection in as a Hail Mary. Although this is the first we learn of their grandfather, Reginald St John Holmes' connection to the Borneo story.

More about Borneo, and the Holmeses, and possibly Sanjay Singh, in the next updates . . .

Thanks so much for your comment and for sticking with this very convoluted tale.<3

Yay! For reading the older stories!
I have mentioned Lord Holmes and his disappearance in Borneo on a few occasions scattered through the fics; but Ch 3 of "Forgetting of Things Past" was the fullest discussion of it.
I doubt many readers have your excellent recall:) I sometimes have a time to keep it all straight in my own mind.

Mycroft is a man of many talents and in the end, cleverer by far than Singh, although we know Mycroft wishes he had detected the evil plot sooner. What will happen between Mycroft and Lestrade? Thanks for your comments! Update soon:)

Yes, I was wondering if you would. Well spotted you:)

Sammy Singh's story does have some very tragic elements, and we haven't heard it all yet. Of course terrorists always say they have some dramatic justification for their mad actions. More about Singh in future updates.

But meanwhile, as you quite rightly demand, enough with the global terrorism, what's going on with Sherlock and John??? Will Mycroft and Lestrade be together? *author rubs hands together rather wickedly*

Update very soon:)

*looks around*
*sees no update on John's dire condition*
*frets*

Enjoyed seeing Mycroft poleaxed. That does not happen often. Enjoyed the bouncing non-plutonium-core ball, too. *tries to sing along*

*worries*

John can't come to the Internetz right now.

Neither can Sherlock.

*sighs regretfully*

Yes, Mycroft can't know EVERYTHING or else there wouldn't be any adventures, would there?;-)
