i love the way you write the case in this fic. Must require a lot of research right but you used the details well.

But there is something that I notice that seems a little odd to me...

For he was self-aware enough, at this point, to perfectly comprehend that he was jealous of John.

It sounds to me that Sherlock is jealous of John for kissing Lestrade. i.e Sherlock wants to kiss Lestrade?
So I guess it should be Sherlock is jealous of Lestrade for kissing John?

Thanks so much for following along, this one has been fun to write, very! I think possibly that sentence should be " jealous about John". I was not thinking of Sherlock having that feeling for Lestrade. . .but I love a good twist, perhaps we shall see? :). Hope you like what follows! cheers!

This is fascinating. I love that we have now delved into the Greek classics and how Sherlock is seeing parallels with his relationship to John. Very nice.

(Now I'm stuck in Wikipedia researching when I should be going to work. ;p)

I'm so glad its working! It was fun to put together. Yes, the parallels, Irene/Beatrice/Ophelia/Elizabeth Siddal. John, Patroclus/Hephaestion. Sherlock himself: Luna, Pope? I could have gone on, and on, but it would not have served the story. So, next up, will Sherlock save John?
