Dear neighbor: The down-the-street dogs are not vicious, nor are they preventing you from going outside. Yes, they should probably be in a fenced area. Yes, they are loud and energetic and like to chase things. THAT'S BECAUSE THEY ARE DOGS. Just tell them to back off. Or even introduce yourself properly and play fetch with them. Don't just whimper and back away, ffs! If you're afraid of animals, this is probably the wrong neighborhood to live in.
P.S. Have some mint M&Ms. You might feel better. Always works for me.
