Circle of Life (or Bread)

Catching up on my friendslist today has yielded two deaths, a landmark birthday, and a birth. Not bad for a time of balance, of beginnings and endings, of cool lengthening nights and beautiful bright days, of sweetness and harvest and plenty.

For those who are saying goodbye to loved ones, my sorrow and sympathy.
For those who are celebrating, I rejoice.
And for the one who has just entered the world, I say, "Welcome!"
