Holiday Weekend
Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions on what I can do with my fabric scraps and embroidery. I'll be pondering them all and hopefully can get started soon. The next adventure is going to be actually finding my bag o' jewelry so I can post them on my store as well.
It's been an interesting holiday weekend. We got invited to a party by the neighbors, which was good; but they asked us to bring a side dish, which was actually sort of tricky since we'd just gone food shopping (for the first time since the wedding!) and had bought lots of meats for barbecuing and precious little else. We had to go back and do a separate run for side-dish fixings.
Later that night, we went for a walk around the neighborhood...and got followed home by an extremely friendly grey and white cat with no collar or tags. And yes, he's another unneutered male. We may actually see if our housemate wants this one if we can't find his owner, as she's mentioned wanting a cat. Kitten, actually, but sometimes things work out this way. He is very sweet, and the single most aggressive ankle-surfer I have ever seen. Meantime, poor Daisy is having a fit - no sooner do we get rid of the dog than a new cat appears!
