Chapter 3: Ryosuke’s Feelings
So he has a Girlfriend. Why did I never think of a possibility that he’s already taken. And above all they look good together.
That was the only thing she could think right now. They were still on the cafe; looking at Yuto who was talking to the girl she had bumped into a while ago. From the looks of it, those two are close, too close that some of their gestures to each other makes Ryosuke’s heart ache in pain. Somehow she can’t help but to feel jealous, she can’t take it, seeing Yuto that intimate with a girl is something she doesn’t want to see.
She could only look away, stupid me he’s not even my boyfriend, I don’t have any right to be jealous.
Her reverie was cut by Ryutaro who spoke to the two. “So you guys, knew each other?”
The look on each other “Yeah, you can say that, we’ve known each other for years already.” Yuto answered, “How about you, how did you know her?” he asked him back.
“Well, we’re neighbours so it’s pretty normal for us to be acquainted with each other.” He answered. “it seems like your special for Yuri, she never acts like that to someone even if he’s someone he really knew.” He told Yuto
And again, the two share a knowing look, this time Yuri answered “You can say that” smiling teasingly at him.
All this time, Ryosuke was trying to act out, as if she’s enjoying like them, not noticing that Yuto’s looking at her.
“Is there something Ryosuke, it seems like your not feeling well? “ Yuto asked her worriedly.
Ryosuke looked up, smiling at him “Ühm, I’m fine.”she answered
But Yuto wouldn’t buy it. “Are you sure?” He still asked touching her forehead to see if she’s having a fever.
“I’m fine really, just a little tired.” She said, she then stand up from her seat, ready to leave. “I’m sorry guys, I have to go.”
Ryosuke told them, taking the people around her in surprise.
“What?” Yuto said. “but it’s still early, your mother wouldn’t mind if you’ll go home a bit later, I promise that I’ll take you home if ever you’ll be late remember.”
“I’m sorry Yuto, I really have to go.” She told him, her façade almost on it’s limit. Yuto couldn’t do anything bit to sigh.
“Okay, if you say so.” He told her giving up, he then stood up from his seat ready to leave as well. “I’ll walk you home.”
“No!” Ryosuke said, louder than what she intended. She turned red and told them sheepishly “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to shout, You don’t need to walk me home, I can manage and beside, youshouldn’t leave Yuri alone.”
Yuto was about to retort ack, when Ryutaro intervenes.
“Just let her Yuto. You can’t change her mind once she made her decision.?”
And this time Yuto could only give up, he look at Ryosuke defeated, while Ryosuke took her bag and waves at them, “I have to go guys, take care.” She then took her leave, not even taking a glance back to them.
“Is something wrong?” Yuri asked after RYosuke left.
“Nah, don’t mind her, she’s moody girl.” He told her nonchalantly, not giving a single thought that her best friend might have a problem
Yuri just nodded dropping the subject, they returned to their chat, talking happily except for Yuto. He’s still looking at the door where Ryosuke had gone out a while ago.
Seriously, what’s wrong with you? Did I do something wrong?

Ryosuke was sitting alone at the café, reviewing her lessons. They’re final exam is fast approaching and she need to passed her finals if she want to graduate with her batch mates. So she’s keeping herself busy with her homeworks and lessons. Also, this give her a reason to turn down Yuto’s invitation.
It had been months since she and Yuto spend time together. Usually they will be accompanied by Yuri and Ryutaro. At first, she doesn’t mind their set up, since she still enjoys their activities and escapades. But as time goes by, she started hating it, hating it for the fact that she can’t take it everytime Yuri will start clinging to Yuto and acts sweetly to him.
She knew she don’t have the right to be jealous, but still seeing the person you love was acting too sweetly towards another girl might drive her crazy. And that’s when she made her mind to turned down Yuto’s offer.
“Are, Ryosuke sama is here today.” She heard someone sais, she looked up only to see a handsome young man smiling at her.
“Kota san.” She acknowledged the guy.
“Yo!” he greeted seating next to her. Kota is Kei’s husband, the owner of the café she and Yuto used to frequent. “Ne, you’re alone again, where’s Yuto?” Ryosuke could only smile at him.
‘He’s busy studying, you know exams are coming and he needs to study hard to maintain his marks.” She told him, well she’s telling half truth, Yuto’s the top student and if he wants to graduate as the top student, he nees to study and maintains his grades, but Yuto knows that he shouldn’t immersed himself in to mush studying so once a week he will go out with them, but that is something Kota san need not to know.
“But, I have a feeling that your avoiding Yuto.” He told her, she look at him shock and seeing her reaction he could only think that he was right. He could only sigh. “I’ve heard about the news.”
“How-how did you know?” she stutters
“Your mom visited yesterday and she had a long talk with my Kei, telling her about it as well.”
Ryosuke could only sigh, she didn't say anything.
“Is it the reason, why your avoiding Yuto.” He asked
RYosuke keeps quiet, neither conforming nor denying anything.
‘And the other reason would be Yuri am I right?” he asked once again and this time RYosuke looks at him, asking if how did he know about it.
“You know, yesterday Yuto had went here all alone and looking lonely. I asked him what’s wrong and he told me that you’ve been avoiding him for a while now and it somehow it hurts him, well that’s what I understood from our talk.” He said, and Ryosuke didn’t say anything just keeping quiet and litening to what he says. Yabu could only sigh.
“Don’t you think you’re him and yourself with what you’re doing right now? By not telling him anything your hurting him, making him feel that he did something wrong.”
“I can’t right now” she said. “I’m not ready to get hurt if I’ll hear it straight from him, and with my parents decision, I might learn to forget him so why bother to tell him if this way he don’t need to be sorry.”
Kota could only sigh…
“So you choose to avoid him, to make him suffer a broken friendship and making yourself suffer because you choose the easiest way for you. Do you think you could move on knowing the fact that you didn’t face the problem? You might forget him, but the scar of your love for him will never heal it will never heal it will haunt you till the end. Do you want that? When one time you will meet him somewhere you will feel awkward to him because of what you have felt for him.”
Once again, RYosuke keep her silence, thinking thoroughly what he had said.
Kota stood up ready to serve his customer. “Why don’t you talk to him, this way you wouldn’t part in a hard way” he told her before leaving.

Graduation day, it is something that everyone is waiting, the end of another chapter on they’re life. Whether they did good or bad on they’re high school will just be part of they’re past, after all once they left that place a new beginning is awaiting for them.
The Graduates are still inside the school premises even if the ceremony had finish already, saying good bye to their friends, thanking they’re teachers for the things they have learned and enjoying the hours left for them as the student of their school, Yuto among them.
He was walking on the corridors of the school for the last time, remembering all the memories he have in the place the teachers who taught him lessons both in academics and in life, his classmates whom become a big part of his high school life, his friends who have supported him in everything he have done and Ryosuke. Yes Ryosuke, it had been months since he last talk to her, they’ve been both busy with they’re exams both in School and Universities entrance exam and after that is the preparation for they’re graduations.
Thinking about her, makes him remember all the times they had shared together, the happy and the sad parts and somehow the regret of being apart from her. He miss her badly.
“Yuto” he heard a familiar voice caling him, he look around only to see the girl she was thinking a moment ago right behind her.
“Ryosuke.” He said, and Ryosuke beamed happily to him, which he answered with a sweet smile.
“Can I talk to you for a while?”
“Uhn” he nodded still smiling to her.
She then leads the way out, they were walking silently towards a certain place, a place that had become they’re meeting place in school.
Compare to the other part of the school, that place is quiet, giving them some peace and tranquillity. And every spring they could see beautiful Sakuras blooming from the trees around the place. They stopped on a big tree, the tree they had used as resting place. Ryosuke turns to him, smiling at him
“I didn’t get the chance to greet you earlier.” She started. “Omedetou.”
Ryosuke smiled at her “Uhn! Congratulations to you to.” She told her, but Ryosuke had just acknowledge his greeting with a sad smile,she was looking at him sadly and that made Yuto frown.
“So you decided, to give your second button to someone.” She told him, and now Yuto understand that he’s looking at his polo, specifically on his second button. Or rather where his second button was since he had taken it out this morning.
“Uhn, I had decided to give it to someone dear to me.” He answered her, his hands hidden on his side pocket.
Hearing this, Ryosuke smiled at her, but her sadness had been evident to her face, “Well, congratulation then, I hope she will make you happy.”
Yuto frowned once again. “What-“
But Rosuke cut her. “Please listen to what will I say first” she said, trying not to cry. She looked at him straight on his eyes.
“I know this thing, wouldn’t matter but still I want you to hear this, so please listen to me and please don’t judge me with what you will hear.”
“Nakajima Yuto! I want to thank you for helping me before, that time on the Grocery you have helped me when I sprained my foot but because of embarrassment I didn’t get the chance to thank you till now, so thank you.” She bowed to him for a while showing his gratitude she stand up straight once again and look him in the eyes.
“I know I made you confuse this past months, why did I started avoiding you for unknown reason, I know I have hurt you but please understand me, I need to nurse my broken heart from the hurt you’ve given me, and that’s the only thing I can think. I’m sorry Yuto, because I’ve hurt you it’s just I love you and I’m hurting everytime I see you acting sweet with Yuri.” Hearing those words had shock Yuto
“Ryosuke” he started approaching her, so that she can comfort him but Ryosuke took a step behind.
“No don’t!” she told him making Yuto stop “ I know you feel sorry for me, but please don’t be sad for me, I don’t need that, I am happy that I’ve fallen for you so please don’t regret that you couldn’t returned my feelings.” This made Yuto frown
“I know you love Yuri, that she is the one for you and what ever thing I might do to gain your love it will never changed the fact that Yuri owned your heart, so please just forget what I’ve told you let’s start a new. Don’t hate me with what I feel for you, and don’t avoid me as well, I’ll leave you guys in peace and I’ll forget my feelings for you, just don’t hate me.”
Ryosuke’s tears are falling non stop
“I hope that when we meet again someday, we could be friends again.” Ryosuke said, wiping the tears on her face, she then approach Yuto
“Good bye, Yuto I wish for your happiness.” She then tiptoes and kiss his lips, this would be the first and last time I would be able to taste your lips.
She then runs away from him, tears started flowing from her eyes.
“Ryosuke!” he yelled about to follow her, but she heard someone called him “Yuto!”
He felt a hand on his arms “So this is where you’re hiding, we’ve been looking for you.”
He heard Yuri said, looking at him and once seeing his expression. “Yuto is there something wrong?”
But Yuto didn’t answered her, still looking at the way Ryosuke had gone too.
Ryosuke

She was running, running away from him.
Her vision blinded by her tears, but she don’t care
She just want to run, to go to a place he can’t reach him.
She was running blindly that she didn’t see someone standing on her way, she bumped into that person, but instead of crashing to him, the guy had opened his arms, hugging her in the process.
“Shh… don’t cry” the guy said and RYosuke could only cling to him as if she will be crash once he let her go.
“It hurts Ryu, I never though that loving someone will hurt this much. I don’t want to feel this anymore.” She said crying more on him and Ryuu can’t do anything to ease his best friend’s pain.
“Shh.. don’t cry anymore, I wouldn’t let anyone else hurt you again.” He told her, hugging him more tightly, comforting to the best that he can give to her.
Since he know that he is not the one he needs right now, but someone unreachable for her.
