I know I tend to come across very strong, resolute, and in some ways pragmatic. It's been said, in fact, that were I to cleave my own finger off, I would calmly baggie said finger up in ice, wrap my hand up, and drive myself to the hospital while Jason would absolutely lose his shit. Reminds me of a story... kelda_too_soon April 2 2007, 18:34:29 UTC
So, I'm prone to reading five books at a time, given to introspection, and blunt like a baseball bat. But then there's the rest of the time where the phrase 'free-spirit' comes up. Its why I like you so much....you have honed and perfected the dichotomy! I admire this greatly.

The story: The only vacation I ever went on with jerkface *that I had to plan alone*, we walked on the beach alot. One night while walking, I noticed a little ghost crab, about 2 inches across, scuttling along. All video game dorky girlness forgotten, I had a great game of catch the crab, smiling, giggling, laughing...and when I turned around after catching the zippy little bugger, jerkface had an utter look of distaste on his face and said 'And *how* old are we?'

....

I should have punched him, but my hands were full of tiny fragile lifeform.

D'awwwwws thank you! I think you have a very interesting dichotomy of tough and fragile, and it's lovely to see in others.

And I think that a person that hooks up to a video game all day at home has no case to argue against a girl that is excited and pleased with nature. At least your fun includes you getting some movement in, and doesn't in and of itself cost any money.

Goes to show you.
