Frances The Mute
No one seems to have updated for a few days, and as I have a lack of material to read (journal wise) I thought I'd do an update myself.
This week the weekend really began on Wednesday, when Woo had a couple of friends down to stay with him. We went to the Rickard as always and his friend smashed a glass over his head, which didn't really fill me with love for the guy. However, on Thursday we had an "indoor gig" at Woo's house because Sid and Rob needed to do a live recording for their coursework but had left it too late to record a "real" gig. We waited until about 11:00pm when everyone was nicely pissed up and just started jamming, everyone having a go on everything. Needless to say it was excellent, and Woo's pal redeemed himself, cut head included.
Friday was rock night, blah blah muchos drink, and on Saturday we stayed in with a few beers and watched A Tale Of Two Sisters, which was quite good but the title was far too Dickensian for me to take it seriously. Sadly I think Asian horror writers need to come up with some fresh ideas, let "The Ring" go guys!
Sunday is Sunday.
And now it is Monday.
For anyone who hasn't heard it yet, the new Mars Volta album is absolutely essential, the only decent new music I've heard this year so far. Anyway, I can read this back now and amuse myself for a few minutes. Happy 21st to Monkey, don't know if you're celebrating today or tomorrow but have a good one either way.
