My New Boss
It's funny how I've worked for Publix for six years, and this is the first time I've cried because of work. It's kinda sad actually, but basically we have a new Store Manager... Jeff Elsberry is a good store manager, in the respect that our store is running much better than it did when Jaimie BOSTWICK was our manager, however it's not running as well as it did with Jeff Williams... Elsberry quite a bit more controlling than Williams, however not as bad as Bostwick...
Okay, now that you're confused, here's the point... Since I've been a Custodian, I've been working on organizing my mop room, and supplies...For about three years now... Well, Elsberry decided he wanted to re-do my mop room... The worst part is that it makes no sense what he did... He's doing it everywhere too. My Grocery Manager's angry because his back room is all discombobulated, Deli's back area is all a mess, same with Bakery. None of it makes sense...like the things I use a lot of, he doesn't want me to have any back stock of, but the things I never use, he wants me to have a lot of... It's kinda crazy...
So when I reorganizing the mop room the way he wanted it, and Elsberry's assistant, Joe was helping me, he said he wanted something else that made no sense...and I kinda...cracked... I slammed my head into the produce cart...like three times...then I threw the cart... and pretty much cried... Joe was like..."Woah...are you ok..." Then told me to vent to him...and I apologized, and calmed down...
I know it sounds weird, and pathetic... But my mop room is my office... The way it was organized sometimes felt like the only thing I had control of in my life... Elsberry took that away from me... It's been about a week since he did, and it is still bothering me... Oh well, I just need to get over it... One of Publix's biggest rules is...if it makes sense...it is probably not allowed...
On another note, Heidi seem to have become better friends now. I'm so glad we talked about how we feel and such... I don't get to see her very often, but we talk a lot when we do see each other... I'm still a little confused, but she's happy, so it works =) .
