ughhhh

i hate beauracracies. i hate having to deal with complicated-ass systems online to pay bills and choose classes and having to fight through layers and layers of beauracrats who cant do their job or suck at it. all just to get the basic stuff. i hate high school counselors who are morons and give you the wrong information about scholarships and screw your chances over. i hate dealing with people who work for the govt and dont work hard bc they know they wont get fired because the freaking govt is always always getting BIGGER, not smaller. and two different phone calls gets you two different phone people who supposedly have the same information but tell you completely different things. and of course, to even talk to them, you have to fight through a stupid "push this button for... push that button for... system".

and i have more of it to do. bleh... it seems like part of success in the 21st century will lay in one's ability to manage all different sorts of ever growing beauracratic systems. in which case i need some work. everything is so much more complicated than it should be. but this is your government at work. BLEH (fake vomit sound).

alaska was amazing. we caught as a group (17 guys) around 2000 pounds of fish to bring home. that what we brought home in fillets, all sliced and clean. probably like 4500-5000 pounds of raw fish on the boats though. the biggest fish i caught i didnt even get to keep. i caught a lingcod that was at least 50-55 inches long, about 1 1/2 yardsticks. it was huge. our biggest fish was a 72 inch (6 ft) 186 pound halibut caught by old george. whew. it was so beautiful up there. man, its gotta be in the top five places in the world for beauty. so crazy cool. and we cooked fresh fish for dinner every night. and now the johnson household has like 175-200 pounds of fish in our freezers fresh from alaska. muahahahaha.

orientation is done. less than a month to uga. taking accounting, public speaking, honors seminar, microeconomics, and geography. honors will be a BREEEEEEZE, and hopefully geography, econ and speech wont be tough. accounting is hard traditionally, but im a math guy kind of so we'll see how it goes.
