rumblings...
rumblings from lots of directions...

north and south
right and wrong
but which is which
the wind is strong

and thats for sure
the one thing certain
the wrong choice sure
will leave me hurtin

wistful pain
of memories lost
delete or try
to mend the cost

the past is there
theres no denyin'
sometimes it sure
can leave you cryin'

to mend whats wrong
a noble quest
to fix the past
and get no rest

but fixing past
mistakes from games
can leave the stinging
marks of canes

so do you close
the door on time
and end that verse
shut down that rhyme?

or do you take
that noble chance
to make it better
with a glance

whichever path you take
make no mistake
an earthquake
could shake
?

"rumblings" by Jeremiah Johnson

i liked this one
you wont understand what it personally means to me, but you can understand the general choice the speaker in the poem has to make. at least i think. i tried to make this one pretty straightforward. so there. or if youre totally lost, leave a comment and let me know i screwed up lol.
