Well, I had an epiphany this weekend. I have finally achieved closure with Kyle and it feels fantastic. I sent him this letter wanting to talk about the whole situation and he never responded to it, never even let me know he got it. At first, I thought it was really rude and I was really upset with him that he didn't have the decency to ( Read more... )

It's funny that you mention that book because my cousin was just telling me about it yesterday. Now that I have two recommendations, I am going to have to definitely look into it. And thank you for the well wishes, I really appreciate it.

How are you doing? It looks like we each had a not-so-fun breakup.

I'm doing much better, thank you. I've gained a new perspective on the situation. I read an interview with Cameron Diaz...she was asked how many times she's been dumped, and she said "I don't call it 'being dumped,' I call it 'divine intervention.'" That's my new motto in the situation. :)

lol, i saw that interview too.

even though she annoys me, or maybe its the justin timberlake thing, i liked the way how she thought of them as 'divine interventions.'

no doubt she irritates the shit out of me, but that's a good perspective to have.

I am just listening to what my mom is telling me.

"Rachael, face it. You got dumped and there is nothing you can do about it. However, every second, minute, day, or in your case, month you spend crying over it is another second, minute, day, or in your case, month that you waste meeting someone who won't do this to you."

And boy was she right... :o)

My friend Katie gave me the best piece of advice:

"Remember how happy you were with him? Well he wasn't the one. So just imagine how freaking happy you're going to be when you find the one. He won't even show up on your happiness radar anymore!"

They're both SO right! :)
