Okay, so, I made Stef and Lesley tell me what to order in Chicago, and also Kate and I have made stuff this summer and on New Year's. Basically, my very limited experience thus far is, if I can taste the alcohol particularly strongly, I'm not a fan. Except for the White Russians that Kate and I kept making this summer, because Kahlua = delicious times a million. Even though I could always taste the vodka and it kind of burns. Anyway. I really liked the Long Island ice tea I had in Chicago, and they really taste like tea, but they have like four or five shots in them (along with, like, a little bit of Coke) and I was already pretty buzzed when I started on it so it's hard to say. I mean, the last time I was anything approaching drunk, I actually drank a full rum and Coke, which I DON'T EVEN LIKE, because you can't quite taste the alcohol at that point. Long islands are expensive, because they have a lot of alcohol in them. So that's a warning

As a die hard captain morgan fan, I would just like to say that you can also mix it with rootbeer, which is delicious. Also, if you ask them to put grenedine in it so that its "cherry coke," the drink is much more sweet and much less noticably alcoholic. The shots that I mentioned need no chaser, if that's what you were concerned about with them. (Unless you order Jager... but I never chase jager because I'm a man of a woman)
Also, I forgot about Sex on the Beach... I'll second that motion. Irish Car Bombs and Amaretto Sours are pretty decent as well :)

My family has a running joke about my grandma having Sex on the Beach when she was with UAW retirees in D.C. :D
