The Bus and its Pine

May 11, 2010 20:53

Today and the week to come i'll be staying here in my Dad's province, which is Pampanga. Far from the bustling sounds and over polluted surrounding of Manila.

Its been a while since the last time i've visited here, i think its been 3-4 years already, though before we've been a regular here.

To get here you have to endure a traffic that would make a supposedly 3o minute journey from Divisoria to Monumento, then get on a Bus going to Cabiao that would be giving you a 2 hour long  scenery of fields and goats and cows and carabaos and a bonus, Mt. Arayat. haha. up until now its only Mt. Arayat, the only mountain that i've seen personally. then after the ride we would take a tricycle to bring us to the subdivision where my grandma's house is rooted.

before i really dread going here, firstly its because of the long hours of travel. i know its short compared to going to other provinces but i cant stand the heat and pollution, and the pine the bus driver's have. i dont know why they considered pine as a flavor on air fresheners but really for me it doesn't freshen up the air. it just make dizzy. Next is the eerie quietness of the place. before, when i stay here for only 2 days it felt like ages. third would be the lack of things to do. after seeing all the places here, there's nothing to do but to idle, and if i'm lucky enough i could sleep. though i save it on nights because i always have a hard time sleeping early, the earliest possible would be at 1 in the morning, so taking a nap is a no-no for me.

But now I'm having improvements, since i'm not yet bored, and I actually enjoyed the ride going here. i guess i get used to those apine air fresheners. and a lot of memories came rushing back to me when i saw the house. because the last things that happened when i was here was not so good but as i look back i dont think that its that bad, maybe because i have been through greater problems after that, and i'm proud t say that my family had been through that wholly.

now i hope that this week of  stay here would be good. and i hope that you guys could visit here. coz if you need a break from all the hustle the city has to offer i recommend going here and have a breathe of fresh air.

trip, a day in my life
