She heard the piano started to ring all throughout the church; it is Felix Mendelsshon’s Wedding March. She breathed in deeply then clutch to her father’s arm, and started marching. It was slow, just like what every bride does. 1.. 2.. 3.. step, and again, 1.. 2.. 3.., step. She did it again and again, counting silently in her mind. When she has done it for the fourth time she has noticed that she’s already mid-way through the aisle and everyone is watching her: her mom, her soon-to-be in-laws, her university friends, their managers, their friends from the entertainment industry and of course those pair of shining brown eyes that she’s been searching for ever since she stepped in. She smiled, because she knows that both of them know that in just a few minutes they would be together forever. She kept her pace until she’s a couple of steps away from him. But suddenly the piano’s tune changed and now is playing…. Love So Sweet?
Mao groaned as her phone rang non-stop with the tune of her fiancée’s group hit single and was the theme song of the drama which changed a lot of girls life. She loves hearing the song because it reminds her of their love but not in times like this wherein she’s having her most awaited sleep and having a beautiful dream at the same time. But she has no choice; she knows that the caller won’t stop until she picks it up.
“Maybe he’s on his way to work.” She thought as she kept on rummaging the bedside table for the noisy thing with her eyes still close. He just have this habit of calling her before he goes to long hours of work or whatever engagement he should be.
When she has found her phone she flipped it up and put it on her ear, and then she heard his sexy voice that never ceases to waken up her senses.
“ Good Morning Mrs. Matsumoto!” He greeted on the other side, with trace of teasing in his voice.
Mao frowned at that but smiled despite her self. She knows that this joke of him would be true in two months, and she can’t wait for it.
“Morning, sexy.” She squeaked with her morning voice, brushing off his greeting. “So what are you up to now?”
“I miss you hime.” He replied instead, making kissing sounds after repeating it. But Mao didn’t return the favor of replying the same words, though she really wants to, because there’s something in his voice.
“Jun, dear.” She started with her honey-coated voice.
“Hmmm.” He hummed as he waits for her to continue, wishing that this would end smoothly.
“Why do I have this feeling that you have something to tell me that would include Shun, Tonton, Nino, Sho, Ohno, Aiba, and the rest of the hot guys in Japan and a lot of alcohol?” She continued turning her voice to a what-the-hell-are-you-up-to-now voice.
“Heh?! Can’t I miss my fiancée who’s an ocean away from me?” Jun countered, with hurt in his voice.
Mao smiled and get up to sit and lean on the headboard, its true that they are an ocean apart since she’s in Los Angeles right now for another magazine photo shoot but they are almost done now since this would be their last day in L.A. and would be having their flight back later in the evening; he sounds so cute when he’s like this. “Well…”
But before she could continue, Jun had a better idea.
“But you know, what you said isn’t bad at all. Since I’m missing you terribly why don’t I go to Jin’s party since he invited me this afternoon, then at the same time I would have company until you arrive here tomorrow. You’re really sweet hime, neh?!” Jun said while suppressing laughter. Even him can’t help but to laugh at how he asks permission from her. Well he doesn’t really have to ask but he just want her to know everything he does, and he also knows that Mao is not so keen on him drinking too much.
“MATSUMOTO!” Mao shrieked as she heard him, sometimes she just have to trust her intuitions, especially when it comes to him. But when she heard him laughing she can’t help but to laugh too.
“So you’re letting me?” Jun asked.
“Do I have a choice? And besides you’ve been a good boy these past months so maybe you could have some, but don’t get yourself drunk, okay?! I don’t want to deal with a hang over-ed boyfriend when I get back there.”
“You know, you’re sounding more and more of a wife. Cant wait,eh?!” He teased again.
“Not really, just practicing.” Mao rides on.
“Hmm.. now you’ve mentioned practicing, why don’t we practice other things that in you’re dictionary only married couples do?!” Jun said, and Mao swears that she could hear him smirk.
“Hentai!” Jun could imagine her narrowing her eyes and pouting.
“Okay, but once we’re married be ready! And by the way I want you in black on our first night okay, then he laughed like a wicked monster.
“Whatever!” Mao rolled her eyes “You’re getting creepy you know?! Just go to your party, and take care okay!”
“Okay wifey!” Jun said endearingly, he really misses her. “I miss you.”
This time she knows it’s the real thing. “I miss you too.”
Then there was silence between them, jus the two of them savoring the moment.
Mao was the first one to break it.
“ So what do you want me to get you?”
“Yooou~” Jun said with his hoarse sexy voice.
“Baka.” Mao thought, getting what he implies. “Well, I’m afraid you have to wait for another two months for that.”
Its true that they haven’t done “that thing” Mao wants it in their first night and she cant wait for it, just thinking of the idea of them being together in the most intimate of ways send tingle through her body, but as much she’s excited she’s also aware of how much Jun has been struggling through the 3 years they’ve been together.
“Okay just a long-deep-kiss would be fine.” He knows that she wouldn’t succumb to his plans, at least not now.
“That’s all?!”
“Not unless you want to practice it.” He started again, just trying if this could be his lucky day.
“Nah. Just go okay.” Then they both laugh.
“okay, I love you.” Jun.
“I love you too. Wait for me okay.”
“Hai, take care, and don’t forget to buy a lingerie okay?! Like I said I want it black.”
“Bakaaa~ would you stop it. Just go okay. And you take care too.” Mao said as her blood rush to her cheeks, should she really visit one of Victoria’s Secret’s branch later?
“Okay.” Jun replied boyishly.
Silence.
“Hey, why aren’t you hanging up?” Mao asked as she waits for him.
“Huh?! I was waiting for you to hang up.”
“eh?! No, you go first.”
“No,you go first.”
“urgh, lets just do it at the same time.” Mao rolled her eyes. She doesn’t know why but it really takes time when they end their conversations, its like both of them doesn’t want to say goodbye yet.
Both laughed. “Okay on three.” Jun started.
“1.2…3” Then they closed their phones at the same time. Dorks.
