I've a lot to catch up on, though I have read the odd bits and pieces here and there, I've read some sad news too. I'm not going to add a comment so long after the event and bring sad thoughts back to you - just want to let you know (and you know who you are) that I sympathise and send virtual hugs and apologise for not being there to support you when it happened.
I guiltily confess to being bumbling around over at Carl and Pam's Sims 3 Forum and trying to join in with the Challenges. I am not a successful challenger, I get sidetracked too easily and indulge my sims rather then sticking their noses to the grindstone. At the moment, though, I'm not really doing much with the game as I've gone into obsess mode with the Create-A-Pattern tool. So many ideas, so little talent but occasionally a pattern will slip the net and demand, quite rightly, to be shared.
Anyways, this is just to let you know that I'm thinking of you all and will try to comment on your posts more regularly. Take care, guys and, at every possible opportunity, have fun!
