Cho Kyuhyun, 20 years old, summer.
This is summer, and for your information, I’m not as free as most 20-years-men. When they-and maybe you-are having fun outside, enjoy your spare time with your girlfriends, playing frisbee with your golden retriever in the beach, I’m trapped here with those insane schedule. Last night, my family called and told me that they’ll spend summer holiday somewhere-I didn’t hear it clearly because Ryeowook, Shindong and Yesung was so noisy. And how about me?
Yes, you’re right. I’m that Kyuhyun. The youngest member of Super Junior.
And that’s mean : I have to spend my long holiday here, in summer camp for practicing more dance and songs for many summer shows. What a way to ruin your youth. That’s not the worst, if you’d like to know. I’m sitting in the corner of this studio, watching the other members do some dancing. Those who have the same gender as I am-yeah that’s the worst case. All I see along my holidays are boys.
Ah-I really think I have to go out from this prison and having some fun with girls outside. If I don’t do that-
“KangIn-ah..”, I heard my leader’s voice, “you really need a diet. Look at your tummy.”, and he pinched KangIn’s belly, “it’s so fatty.”
Then I saw the bigger man grins, “But I know you like it.”, he leans closer to the leader and secretly kissed his cheek, “are you blushing, Teukie?”
I shake my head-don’t wanna think about it-and turn my head to other directions. Same there, same here, same everywhere. I see Heechul is wiping Shiwon’s sweat with his pale pink towel, I see Eunhyuk is doing some boobie-boobie dance with Donghae, and-argh! This place really drives me to be a gay! Even the innocent Ryeowook-is he trying to grope Yesung’s butt there? Well, at lease Shindong, Han Gen and Kibum are still straight-mostly because they’ve been dumped by three cute Super Junior boys-and now they’re planting mushroom right there in the corner of the studio.
He-hey, have I told you that he is my own worst problem? That angel with damn innocent eyes and beautiful smile-what did I say? An angel or something?-is approaching me. Actually, he’s running and, “Kyuhunnie!!!”, he shouts loudly and sits in front of me, “why are you sitting here all alone?”
He’s my only sin.
“Ah..”, I smile at him, “just having my break.”, shit-why can’t I just stay in my cool mode? Why the hell do I always want to smile? Damn lips.
“Huh?”, he looks curious, “why don’t you join the other? Why do you have to be here alone?”, the hell, he’s so cute when speaking.
“I don’t want to disturb them.”, I smile again.
He smiles back, “Then I will accompany you here.”, he smiles even wider, “may I?”, and now, he gives me his huge grin.
“Ah.. well..”, it’s really hard to swallow, “sure..”
Damn, he’s so pretty! Maybe that’s why Ryeowook suggested him to be my lover in our mini drama. It’s true that Sungmin is cute, I swear to God that he’s the cutest boy I’ve ever met, yet innocent. Nobody will believe if he told his true age-he was 23 and he doesn’t look like it-I thought he was 16 when the first time I met him. In fact, he’s two years older than me. Now, he’s humming ‘Marry U’ song softly and keep on smiling. I can’t stand this, “Sungmin-hyung?”
“I’ve told you, Kyunnie.”, he’s pouting. Oh my God, he’s even cuter when he pouts! He snorts a little, “don’t call me with hyung. I’m not that old.”
I swear Eeteuk glances a little, but maybe he can’t be mad at this pure Sungmin, “My bad, sorry.”, I stay silent, thinking what shall I say to him. He looks straight to my eyes and it makes me more nervous, “it’s so bright outside, ahaha..”
“So I’ve waited that long only to hear about the weather?”, he giggles, “I thought you have something important to say.”
Yes, yes of course I have that necessary thing to say to you, Sungmin! How couldn’t I say it straightforwardly? I have three words contain of ‘I’, ‘you’, and ‘love’ words, but why the hell my tounge can’t move to form that phrase? Shit, his eyes’ now staring at mine and I feel he’s reading my mind. I’m afraid he can hear my heartbeat-although I know it’s impossible-or notice what I’m feeling for him. Ah-damn Ryeowook!
Have I told you that this feeling started since I kissed Sungmin’s forehead in our mini drama? Blame that Ryeowook for suggesting us!
“C’mon, kids!”, Eeteuk’s shout makes his beautiful face turns, “break is over.”
“Okay!”, Sungmin gets up and prepares himself to practice again, “let’s go Kyunnie.”, he smiles at me while offering his hand, helping me to stand up.
I can’t avoid it anymore. I lose my self control when his delicate hand touch mine. After I stand up perfectly, he’s about to let go of my hand, but I hold it back. I can see he blinks in surprise but I don’t care, “Sungmin-ah!”, my shout successfully attracts the other’s attention, “I wanna say something.”
He’s startled, “What is it, Kyunnie?”
The other eleven stare at me curiously-especially Eeteuk-hyung who knows about my strange feeling to Sungmin-and wait patiently. I don’t get it why do they give me a chance to do this, “I.. I love you!”
And that’s how it goes.
I can feel an odd warmth in my face-for God’s sake! Maybe Kang-In is smiling because of my face’s turning into red colour. Not only him, I hear Ryeowook and Yesung are whispering to each other, Donghae and Eunhyuk are laughing secretly, and there’s also giggles from Siwon and Heechul. I don’t know if Shindong, Kibum or Han Geng are listening or not-seems like they’re still busy with mushroom planting-but Eeteuk now is giving me spirit.
But this cute Sungmin doesn’t even answer my feeling.
“Umm.. Kyuunie?”, he smiles at me while approaching me. I can see the other members gasp-maybe they think they will see a romantic scene between me and this little Sungmin? He puts his hand in my cheeks, “I love you too.”
Silent for few seconds, and, “WHUOOOWWWW....!!!!”, I can hear shouts from the others, also from our choreographers and manager. But all of the noise seem fade out in my ears, replaced by his beautiful voice when saying that he loves me too. I was too happy to react, and just stay quiet in his hand. He gives me his delicate smile before run to Eeteuk then hug that leader.
I am kind of shock.
“I love Teukie-hyung too!”, said Sungmin while smiling even wider. Then he runs to Kang-In and hug him too, “also Kang-In..”, I can’t say anything when seeing him runs to all of Super Junior members and hug them one by one. After hugging, he adds ‘I love him too’ for each person and ends up standing in the middle of the studio, “and of course I love our manager!”, he smiles to the old man, “I love all of you! Because we are happy together!”, he shouts with cheerful tone.
He even does the Super Junior pose after saying those things.
“Umm..”, Sungmin looks to the others with clueless eyes, “did I say something wrong?”, he asks in his innocent way.
In a rush, Eeteuk and Heechul-our goddess-approach Sungmin and embrace him, “No, nothing’s wrong with your words, Sungmin..”, they force themselves to laugh while glancing at me with pity, “Sungmin’s not wrong. We are happy together in Super Junior, right Heechul?”, ask Eeteuk.
“Yes, yes of course. Ohoho..”, Heechul keeps Sungmin away from me, “guys, we have to do our last dancing practice. C’mon!”, he also pulls Eunhyuk’s and Ryeowook’s hand to follow him.
I can’t say anything, nor moving from my stupid position.
My mouth is open wide, my eyes blink because of disbelief, my heart seems like stop working, and I’m not able to breathe for few seconds. Was I dumped?
“Be patient, Kyuhyun..”, Kang-In puts his hand on my shoulder, “somehow, love is not that easy to catch. You should be more patient.”
Then, the other hand slaps me slowly, “Sungmin is not that easy to catch, young man.”, this time, Siwon. Next, Yesung approaches me.
“I know it’s hard for you, Kyuhyun.”, he said in flat tone, “but you have to be strong and keep on fighting.”, then he’s sighing.
“Oh, poor Kyuhyunnie..”, I don’t refuse it when Donghae hugs me, “From deep inside my heart, I’m so sorry to hear that.”
“Ne, Kyuhyun..”, I hear the voice of Kibum, Shindong and Han Geng, “why don’t you join us in the broken-hearted-club-band? It will be fun”, they said in gloomy tone-what the heck!
“I need toilet.”, I said it in flat tone and walk with my limp steps. Still, I don’t get it. How can I fall in love with such a clueless man like Sungmin? How can he drive me like crazy and make me did foolish things like that? How can he took me to heaven by saying that he loves me too, then threw me away to the deepest base of hell by telling the same thing to all of Super Junior members?
Somehow, I can’t understand him, nor myself who’s falling for him.
