The Automobile Curse
Some of you may remember ages ago that last time I had to choose a lease car my initial choice, the Ford Mondeo, suddenly dissapeared off the production list amid humble apologies etc... causing a last minute 'got to find another option' panic.
These things can and do, of course, happen. It is unlucky but unlikely to happen again.
WRONG!
Today I found out that the new welfare vans we were expecting the week before last do not exist.
Amid humble apologies I have been informed that the 5 vehicles (which should have initially arrived in May but were delayed, due to issues with van supply industry wide) will not be arriving any time soon.
Apparently our account manager 'was tracking the wrong vehicles'. So for the past two months I have been given updates concerning someone elses vans. If that is indeed the case.
Our account manager is a nice personable fellow and I dont like thinking badly of people, and I cant see a reason why he would string us along having purposefully not ordered vans. But he has either done this or he is an utter incompetent.
To say I am a tad annoyed is an understatement.
Oh and yes.. I am cursed when it comes obtaining vehicles.
