Sooooo I now have a proper business premises (nice serviced office in Stafford).
Gave the call to NTL Business about moving the broadband and the phones.. 30 Days
30 Fecking days to change a handful of switches and 1 hour to reconnect lines that already exist within the building (there is a thoroughly underused NTL switch box in the building), oh and £150 for doing it.
I have since chased them three times to get a progress report on the transfer and have heard nothing back. Unfortunately we have 12 months left in contract with them which they have cheerfully told me will cost approx £820 to cancel.
For a short term solution I have grabbed hold of a wifi dongle for the laptop. Unfortunately it seems to be impossible to use this usb wireless device to connect to 02 whilst at the same time using the laptops own wifi device to connect to our network.
So I can access our files and indeed send emails, just not at the same time... Bugger.
Still, only another 20 days to go.....
