Character Name: Pamela Ibis (Ghastly Inn Mascot, Pamela)
Character Series: Trinity Universe
Character Age: appears 17
Background:
wiki Personality: Pamela is a fun-loving and free spirited ghost, who runs the Ghastly Inn in Empyria. She enjoys pulling pranks on people, and finding new ways to scare them, and she even remarks to herself at one point that she wants to one day scare someone to death so that she has a friend. Pamela is ditzy and dense, and doesn't particularly seem to notice or care when people protest her actions, but also gets offended if people insult her ghost... -ness, or at least mildly upset, telling a Prinny not to be so 'ghositist' at one point. She doesn't particularly always see herself as a ghost, despite being undead, and at one point, tells everyone to "Just think of me as a cute, immortal girl who happens to be a little transparent and likes scaring people" ... even if that's the same thing as being a ghost.
Pamela's favorite targets to scare are the Prinnies; agreeing to help the party out if she got to keep one as a pet, she enjoys doing things such as appearing from out of the floor, or sending ghosts after them, because she enjoys seeing their reactions to her tactics. The Prinnies, of course, object to Pamela being around, being afraid of ghosts, and attempt to veto her joining the party permanently... not that anyone listens too them. In general, she adores cute things, not just Prinnies, though her idea of 'cute' arguably isn't always the standard definition of 'cute. Pamela also enjoys being referred to as 'cute', and the rumors about Ghastly Inn even state that they're ran by a cute girl. Her ideas of what is fun and what isn't also tends to differ from the norm.
Despite being dead and a ghost, Pamela doesn't mind this state of existence too terribly. As the owner of an inn that essentially sits in the middle of the Netheruniverse, she finds it convenient to be able to fly and go through walls, which... comes in handy for traveling through space, possibly. She also has a conversation once with Etna about finding the Ultimate Sweet, wondering if a ghost could eat it, too, and when Etna wonders if ghosts are really interested in those things, comments that she, too, likes to enjoy sweet things every now and then. One of Pamela's hobbies includes scaring her customers while they sleep, or sneaking up behind them, and thinks nothing of how this may look for business.
Although Pamela is a ditz, sometimes it's honestly hard to tell what she's thinking, and the things she says occasionally come out sounding flat and without and real emotion at all. For the most part, she gives the impression of a cute and cheerfully oblivious ghost, who doesn't seem to pay attention to anything serious, and has an odd sense of humor, odd generally... meaning morbid, in this case, to boot, making an offhand remark to herself at one point that she's dying of boredom... which, in retrospect, sounds odd for a ghost to say. At the same time, it's possible that she might be a tiny bit lonely, being one of a purportedly tiny amount of ghosts that are capable of talking, which would explain why she wants to scare someone to death to be her friend. She also explains at one point, as well, that sometimes, she finds it nice to get to have a conversation with the living, as scared of her as they may be.
While Pamela might look like a teen, in the end, she's fairly childish and immature, and gets bored pretty easily if there's nothing to do, and upset if someone gets mad at her. Her battle quotes sometimes are equally as childish, with her exclaiming that she's made a new friend when she defeats a monster, or that they should go to another world and play, when she uses her EX Skill. Her general airheaded-ness and immaturity tends to cause her to be insulted by Etna as a result.
Abilities: As a ghost, she's capable of flight and passing through walls and floors, as well as turning invisible, aside from being immortal in general. She can talk to other ghosts, even ones incapable of communicating with humans, and interprets for them for the party.
Battle-wise, other than some combo skills, which consist of both physical attacks and just bursts of magic, her EX-Skill, Gate to the Netherworld, involves twirling a Prinny around on her parasol, before launching said Prinny at the enemy.
Sample Entry: Hmmhmhm... this place is so boring, really; it's almost sad, I think! People here don't seem to believe I'm a ghost, and that's even worse! How can I scare people if they're not scared of me? This is nothing like the Ghastly Inn, not at all...
Oh well... I'll have to come up with new pranks to pull~ I'll be even scarier than before, hee hee~!
