This LiveJournal is going to be about Brian Kinney and Justin Taylor in Queer as Folk. Rented the first season this spring. Went home, watched it and have been hooked ever since. After watching the first season I decided to just go out and buy all five seasons. I've watched them over and over. I guess you could say I'm addicted.

Hi! Welcome to the fandom. All of us around here understand your feelings, especially if you ship B/J. :) Here's a suggestion: read the user info/profile of other users and see what communities they've joined. Like my profile, for instance. You'll see communities like bjfic, where many of the LJ authors around here post their stories, or qaf_retread, where a suggestion is offered every day for a story already written. getithere is a comm where people go to find a fic they once read, but now they've lost it. All great places. And, as you do that, you'll notice certain authors who are spoken of with great reverence like plumsuede or Ethan ( xhaleslowly. You'll also see other communities where you can get involved, join in discussions, read what other people think if you're interested in that sort of thing. My e-mail address is on my profile so if you have a question, feel free to ask! I've been in the fandom for about a year-and-a-half, so I remember what it was like feeling so lost. ♥

Thank you for the pointers, you have no idea how much I appreciate that. I read your story "Mirror" and I have to tell you I really loved that story. I would have to say you are a pretty good author yourself.
