Im quiting my job at the post office to start a Girl's construction company (house construction/remodling). To start off with we will mostly do tile work because its easy to get and i think customers wouldnt mind women doing tile like they might other more "manly" projects. My brother, who owns his own construction company mainly doing trim carpentry, can sub-contract his tile work to me because he doesnt really have time to do it. Im also going to see about advertising in the GLBT publications to drum up some business. Then.. when we are well established we can move towards things like house contstruction.
I just got home from doing my parents basement around their new bar (that my brother built).. and while it was really hard work.. harder than i thought it would be... im happy with the results and confident that my idea will work out. Im sure i'll post more about this later as everything comes together...
