Gellert is sitting on the grass outside the Mansion with a large chocolate cake in front of him. In the chocolate icing the words HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY are written in white. Currently he's grinning and lighting and relighting the candles with a subtle hand gesture. Yes, it's his birthday and he got the cake from the plothole - and he's quite willing

Angelique comes on the tale of the re-lighting, and as she has no idea about Gellert's talents, she makes a soft little sound. "Wait, wait, don't blow them right away...."

She needs to sing happy birthday to him, first. What kind of a birthday is it, without a song?

He grins up at her. "Hello again," and pauses in his hand gesture.

"Hello," she replies, a bit shy, suddenly. "It's -- your birthday, isn't it?"

[ggrindelwald]

"Yes!" He says enthusiastically. "Do you want some cake?"

[fairy_fingers]

"Oh, that would be lovely!" She replies, grinning. "But won't you let me sing happy birthday for you, first?"

[ggrindelwald]

"If you like," he looks at her expectantly.

[fairy_fingers]

She smiles a little, nods, and then sings him an original French birthday song. She's not a great singer by any means, but her voice is sweet and she is in tune.

She's a bit embarrassed when she's done, but nods, and smiles, and scuffs her feet.

And I wish the only vid around for this particular song wasn't part of a French lesson, but that's all I could locate, so I apologize for it in advance. >.>

Gellert smiles and claps happily. "Lovely. You have a beautiful voice," he compliments.

[fairy_fingers]

She blushes brightly. "-- Thank you, and -- happy birthday. Will you blow out your candles?"

[ggrindelwald]

"Blow? Oh! I guess I can," he laughs and turns to the cake, taking a deep breath then blowing. All but one flicker and go out. He laughs once more then clicks his fingers. The last flame disappears.

.... blink. And blink again.

-- she hesitates, thinks maybe it's a trick of the light.

"Oh, did you make a wish?"

[ggrindelwald]

"I did but I can't tell you, now can I?" He winks. "Or it won't come true."

[fairy_fingers]

"Oh, I don't want you to tell me," she replies quickly. "I just wanted to make sure you'd made it."

[ggrindelwald]

"Well, then. A slice for you?" He begins cutting a piece off. It looks very rich and delicious.

[fairy_fingers]

"Oh -- thank you," she says, and is a bit embarrassed, but not refusing.

He smiles and hands her the piece in a napkin. "Please, make yourself comfortable."
